Went here because was close to work. Ordered 12" Cuban and side of potato salad. Sandwich was OK, I've had better. Potato salad sucked, was bland. Was suppose to be a loaded potato salad, but tasted like old potatoes with not enough mayo. Big turn off was mother and daughter behind d the counter having g some kind of a family tiff. Won't be back
I got a Philly cheese steak.....apparently they don't have any way of grilling the meat and peppers/onions/mushrooms ...so....I guess they MICROWAVED the onions and mushrooms...like they were an AFTER THOUGHT as opposed to being cooked together ...not good... I got a cuban. ( they do have a sandwich press) but ...they got cheap with the meat....I understand the economy.... but...keep the sandwich complete and raise the price 50 cents...not the most professional looking staff......
Great sandwiches, great atmosphere, and the service as well are great ????????
We have tried this place a few times. First visit wasn't bad, sandwiches were pretty good. The second time, my husband's roast beef was horrible! It smelled and tasted funny so we had to throw it out as soon as we got home. We decided to give it a third shot. Boy I wish we hadn't! Yes, their prices have gone up like every where else, but the quality has plummeted. 1st, ordered fries, the serving boat they came in was barely half full. I would have gotten more fries at McDs even if I ordered a small. 2nd, I always get my daughter a cheese sandwich. Normally if the manager is there, she only charges me the same price as a grilled cheese as it's literally just bread, cheese and mayo (not toasted). The girl checking me out today charged me just as much for that as my steak sandwich! That's crazy! Speaking of steak, it was bad. I could barely eat half of it and that was only because I was hungry. Taste was way off! The bread was fresh, so I'll give them that, but that's about it. Steak and whatever they tried to season the meat with was somewhat off-putting. Another thing is yes, if you are a local (or white) you do get treated differently depending on who's taking your order or checking you out. It's a weird vibe for sure when you walk into a place and can tell they will serve you, but don't genuinely care to. The manager is usually way more welcoming then her staff. My best advice is to try it at your own risk if you want as a last resort, but I'd skip this place. We will never order from here again. You will get a better sub for the $ at Publix or Wawa. And if you want an exceptional, authentic cheesesteak (or chicken) try Nico's in Zephyrhills. They make amazing food from scratch! Plus when you walk in, the family that runs it makes you feel welcomed.
I had this place for the firs time while waiting for the bin store next door to open up and I have been craving it since! They are closed Sundays but I can’t wait to get my hands on another Cuban and some chilli!!
First time stopping and it was awesome. Definitely will return.
It's not high quality and a bit overpriced. Better quality at a different eat fresh sub restaurant. It's not terrible but I won't be returning. The meat is "piled" on meaning there's no rhyme or reason just smashing the meat into the bread making it look like a lot but it's just a pile not put on the bread in a way to make the sandwich hold together better
I recently moved to Zephyrhills and have been trying out the Mom and Pop businesses more. Living only a block away from this restaurant, I decided to stop in on Saturday afternoon, 9/18/21.
The girl working behind the counter greeted me and asked me what I would like. I told her a Cuban Sandwich pressed would be good.
She made up the sandwich (which was tasty!!) and also gave me some potato salad that I requested.
It was her birthday and I commend her for her dedication to her employer and her job. This was a pleasant experience and yes, I will return.
Thank You!
Oh, Reasonably priced also. :)
