Went with my son . Managed to get one of the few tables in this small establishment. In the past when driving past I would often pop in for take away sandwiches and sweet sour sliced cucumbers. Saturday was the first time I had eaten a meal there. Everything we ordered was very good. My son has a large appetite but enjoyed and finished his quite large lunch. I enjoy lean saltbeef sandwiches with mustard. The portions were as usual very large and all the fat was cut off. Would not hesitate to recommend stopping for take away or eating there.
Proper heimisha food at its best, like you'd find in the old east end or at a downtown New York deli. Well priced, though pickled cucumber with your salt beef sandwich is extra. Just missing kishke, kugel and a range of different pickled cucumbers, and cans of cream soda. Service could be better, the workers are a bit miserable and look like they would rather be in a war zone. Really tasty and fresh though. I would definitely recommend a visit or two.

The sandwich is tasty enough. The bread slices are small, even when compared to my mini hands, though you do get quite a hefty portion of beef. We only ordered for takeaway, but in the short amount of time we were in the shop, we were put off by the uncomfortable atmosphere. It was quiet and there was no warmth in the interaction.
Exceptional salt beef sandwich, eating there for years now. Even after I moved further keep coming back.

One of my favourite spots. The cafe has such a cool vintage feel and a beautiful interior. The salt beef on rye is delicious.
A friendly Jewish deli that serves an excellent salt beef sandwich. The salt beef is done to perfection. It looks like a simple dish but it's difficult to get it right and here they know exactly what they are doing. Salt beef on rye bread with mustard and a pickle on side, it's delicious. The restaurant also serves a variety of soups and other treditional Jewish dishes like latkes. There are several tables inside and the service is quick and friendly. Highly recommended.
