My friend Geraldine and I came upon this enchanting tea garden by chance, whilst out walking on Saturday and what a lucky find! It’s in a beautiful setting and it offers a larger menu than we expected, and with such great prices. The cakes are divine……we tried the raspberry and white chocolate plus the lemon drizzle and they are to die for! Beth, the proprietor, told me they are baked on a local farm.
Beth is so lovely and friendly and after continuing our walk, we called back to take cake home. It absolutely made our day to find this jewel in the crown, so thank you!
I’ll definitely be returning with my husband!
Update:
I did indeed return with my husband on Bank Holiday Monday, May 1st 2023 only to find the tea garden has changed hands and is completely different! If I remember correctly, it's now called Sip and Sea and only serves drinks. Maybe they may expand to serving food, I don't know? I was gutted to find it wasn't the same, such a shame.
The old static caravan is now an upgraded cafe horse box! Lovely garden setting near the beach. Delicious coffees and cakes. We didn’t try the ice cream. 1 toilet available and a garden with stream for the dog to have a fresh water drink. Nice stop off point if doing a circuit low tide walk to/from Bude and up over the cliffs to get back to Bude.
Beautiful place/area . Near to SW Coast trail. Outstanding cliffs..
with walks overlooking the Atlantic coastline. Here we hav an excellent place to stop for tea n cake.
What a lovely find. Really worth the drive. They do have a field for parking and even a loo ???? The food and drinks were excellent
If you are by the beach or walking past then it’s ok, but so many things could be better
Served in disposable plates, like takeaway.
The bins were overflowing
The scones were a little stale but a good size.
It only takes cash
It’s nice that it’s a garden and the flowers are nice
I must be unlike most customers who have given it 4 or 5 stars
This little place is set in perfect location and ran by local people . I have visited a few times and now when family visit me this place is a must. The cakes are home made and taste amazing and the lovely ladies are wonderful. I would highly recommend ????????????????????
Brilliant, This is Cornwall nothing fancy just great quality in a beautiful setting and nice friendly service. Even has a slide and swings for little ones.
We only stopped for a drink after a walk along the beach. Very friendly staff, reasonably priced. I had a can of Lazy Day, a locally brewed IPA, it was delicious! Even had a novelty looking toilet shed, which was very clean and quaint!
