Used to be an excellent Italian Restaurant where you could also get English food .
Last year I took a party of 12 for a Christmas meal which was superb, I've also had a couple of meals during the year, one under the previous owners, excellent, and one under the new owners which was ok.
I booked a table for 9 this year for a Christmas Meal, the best that I could say was it was pretty mediocre, some of the meal was over cooked while you could have used the Brussels for cannon balls!
However the 3 chocolates gateaux was to die for.
Sorry but I won't be booking again
This is the worst meal I have had this year. Our party of 4 have all vowed we will never return. The food was cold, poorly presented and awful. The chips were good though.
The Boss wasn't there on a Wednesday evening. Staff were all amateurs and cook should be sacked
Definitely my favourite restaurant in the area. Everything is fresh and home made. The staff are lovely and make you feel like you are part of the family. Don't worry if you don't know what to order, everything is an excellent option!
They made hash of orders. The order took 1 hour and 20. 7/10 ordered the roast. I refused to pay for my all meat roast because it only had pork, when the correct dish came out, the had obviously been microwaved because everything was so hot that all the meats tasted the same. On this experience wouldn't return.
Just reopened after refurbishment. Very friendly welcoming staff. Delicious Italian fusion food. Locally sourced ingredients cooked fresh. Just stopped of by chance expecting standard gastro pub fare but we were very pleasantly surprised.
Very nice surprise, a short menu but serious food, I am always impressed with good bread and they provided that for sure. This is not a gastro pub , it's a cut or two above that, if you are serious about your food you should give this place a try we shall be back again for sure.
Food is average and the new owners are incredibly rude. It's a shame because the bell used to serve such nice food when the previous owners were in control. I would not recommend you go to this restaurant unless the current owners are on holiday.
Bread was stale, pasta was overcooked and the sauce was watery. Out door seating is road side and a fish and chip van with a loud gennie across the road. My partners pasta was better, but i wasn't impressed.
