Had a super evening last night. It was our first night at The Royal Oak. Landlords were welcoming and locals were friendly. Great choice of non alcoholic drinks and a great set from Tequila Chase! Loved the atmosphere and the pool tables were so much fun! Look forward to going again
Hard to find a music venue but these guys are not only putting on live bands on Saturday nights but allowing amateur bands to practice on Wednesdays too .
Staff are excellent , friendly and kind .
Dogs are welcome and it has two pool tables and darts boards .
Can't wait to see a menu when they start serving food .
Great pub...very welcoming landlord and landlady Graham and Emma whom we have followed from our previous local and although now not so local we will be back....especially now I hear there are two pool tables....the locals must be thrilled to have this pub back up and running again.. keep up the good work ????
The Vagabonds were booked to play on their first Saturday (18/11/23). It only opened up 3 days prior.Graham and Emma did an amazing job to get the place ready to trade and the place was busy all night. The atmosphere was amazing and the bar staff were efficient and smiled all night. People were dancing and singing and we loved playing the venue. I believe they will open the kitchen and start serving food and snacks in the new year.
Recently reopened by Graham & Emma they have made it a great place to visit. Good surroundings and beer that is wonderfully served. The attentive staff serve you with a welcoming smile. They are putting on events to further entice you in including bands most (if not all) Saturdays.
Newly reopened with a new landlord. The welcome was warm and friendly and the pub hadn't changed. It was great to be back. All the old favourites are back - live music on a Saturday night, quizzes on a Tuesday night and a meat raffle on a Sunday afternoon.
Brilliant that this pub is back open, had a really good band in on saturday and met the landlord graham and wife emma and they both made us feel really welcome, and a great atmosphere with everyone there.
Top pub this with lots of entertainment food basic Land lord and all staff very friendly honest and welcoming ????.
