Best KPortal Reviews
Excellent accommodation, staff and quality of food. Michelin Guide accredited, this place is far from your average village pub and is perfect for a vacation or business travel. Located in an idilic village with far reaching rural views, it has a cosy atmosphere with well appointed modern guest rooms. Wonderful breakfast, generous portions and well priced food. Have stayed twice now and will definitely be returning.
The best country pub I’ve come across. Great drinks, amazing food, and the staff are so welcoming. Have been back several times now and will be back again soon. Thank you for your warm hospitality and plentiful supply of dog treats!
We ate at the Garden Room Thursday night not knowing what to expect, with a brief list of the ingredients for each dish. Putting our trust in the chef we were amazed at the presentation and combination of flavours.
Conversations flowed about how the dishes had been clevery put together and flavour some they were. Don't believe there is anywhere local that offers tasting menus at such high quality. We will be back to try some if the other very intriguing dishes. Would highly recommend.
Last minute reservation, mid week as on holidays in the area. Food gorgeous. Carvery with 3 different choice of meat & plenty of vegetables. Staff very nice & accommodating. Able to bring our small dog which was an added bonus due to staying in holiday cottage. This pub was a little jewel.
We had lunch on Sunday and the meals were fantastic. Tasty sauces, tender meat and perfect vegetables, especially roast potatoes. We recommend the Rose and Crown for Sunday lunch and We will be back soon
What an amazing pub! Beautiful old buildings in such a stunning location, with perfectly kept real ale and truly top class food! I was only there for lunch as I was passing through the region, but what an unexpected delight - I'm seriously considering going back to the area just to see what their dinner menu is like!
Very strongly recommended.
The food was exquisite and the service exemplary. The duck dish was delicious, and easily one of the best meals I’ve ever enjoyed.
Lovely old pub but unfortunately really disappointed in the cost of the food fir what it was. Burger was lovely, chips were not great.
We had a brownie which was hard and cold that was charged £10 for. The whole menu was over priced.
The staff were lovely though.
