A wonderful ‘old-fashioned’ bakery. A good range of reasonably priced excellent quality fresh bread rolls & loafs usually with a basket of yesterday’s bread (still excellent) at half price. In addition, there is a range of sausage rolls, pies and pasties.
The range of sweet goods is just as good if not better, truly something for everyone. Cream cakes, scones, egg custards, rice crispy cakes, millionaire slices, giant cookies & mince pies to name just a few!
The range of hot sandwiches, available in small, regular and large (cooked to order) are outstanding and remarkable value. A large bacon, sausage and egg will set up even the largest appetite for the day!
One star is lost for not accepting card or contactless payments in an increasingly cashless society, the only disadvantage I guess of being ‘old-fashioned’.
The goods are amazing as are the staff! So much so, we have a weekly order which is made up for us and we just turn up and collect! If we need anything adding we can always phone Stan and the team! xx
An old style bakery not many of these places left , great products, amazing cakes, pies, pasties , they also do hot sandwiches what are amazing too , and also cold ones , the staff are really friendly and you cam have a laugh with them to, beats going to any chain of bakerys as you get a more personal service and products what are not mass produced so you get that made at home quality like old fashioned cake shops used to make and this place still does , best cake shop for miles around
The lady was very very rude, had no manners whatsoever and didn’t tell me it was cash only until I went to pay. Definitely won’t be returning
Excellent baked goods and sandwiches. The owner has been baking everything in house for years, he's quite good at it now! All reasonably priced and full of flavour and the staff are alright too ????
This bakery is excellent.
Stan and his team , Audrey and Deborah , and his son , go above and beyond to deliver excellent customer service .
The door is always open, and a clean array of tempting savouries
and cakes await !
Sandwiches are made to order , fresh and panninis .
The steak and kidney pies are delicious .

All seasonal cakes are availiable, and Stan , runs a fantastic local business.
Always a delight to engage in conversation with both him and his staff.
Great food Great service Highly recommended.
Food tasted fresh and delicious. Extras were offered due to running out of sausages and was treated like an old friend by (whom I presume are) the owners.
Fantastic place, happy to go back if I'm in the area again.
