Small menu that took a while. This is a good thing as it’s great food and you know it’s served fresh. I have an egg allergy and they were very happy to substitute an extra sausage for the egg.
Atmosphere was quiet but very friendly and overall very clean. Also has full disabled access toilets. Would highly recommend
On this occasion the Sunday carvery was a disappointment, previously we enjoyed it but this time the food was only warm and I prefer my vegetables to be cooked thoroughly whereas they were still hard.
Staff were very friendly.
Lovely ale and Sunday roast in a traditional pub atmosphere. Doesn't get any better than this. Wife didn't go much on the cauliflower cheese- sauce too thin.
Information on website is out of date. New owners from Sept 2023. They no longer offer a carvery but still advertise on side of pub and the website that they do. Also they now stop serving food a 2.30pm on a Sunday, not 4pm as per website .
I did not shout at you or your waitress and I waited quietly for you to finish serving another customer before speaking with me. According to your website I had not "left it too late" to eat. You informed me that you had taken over 5 weeks ago and yet the website contained incorrect information about providing a carvery.
Not a bad little pub, good service. Was a bit quiet when we were in there so lacked atmosphere but when we went past later in the evening, the DJ was in full swing and it looked bouncing ha ha
Had a carvery here but the food was only just warm, but filled a hole, real ale was good
Well worth a visit just to see the front door. It is outstanding.
Called for a meal on our way back from Hereford absolutely beautiful food and reat reception from the hosts would highly recommend and would definitely go back if in the area again.
