We stayed here for four nights, the owners were very friendly and nothing was too much. Our room was nice overlooking the rear garden, and was really well positioned for walking up to the town and to the harbour and a great base for exploring further by car. Breakfast was included and was homemade and plentiful. It was excellent value for money and we really enjoyed our stay.
We were completely satisfied with our stay. Easy free parking on the quiet street outside. Our room was well furnished and decorated and was very clean. We had a view over the garden, which we could use along with an outside seating area. Linda and Roy looked after us very well and provided a lovely breakfast each morning. It’s about a ten minute walk across the old bridge into the town.
We stayed here from Friday 30th July for 7 nights. We found somewhere to park right outside the building (free on street parking). We were shown to our room (6) which was very spacious and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was big enough. There was plenty of storage drawers and hanging space with a few wooden hangers. There was tea and coffee making facilities. Bottled water and biscuits. The room was cleaned every day. Our window was at the side of the building and had views of the dock, part of the little bridge, the river, and the town. Very peaceful. Only a short walk to the town over the bridge, and then there are the different beaches to visit.|The breakfast was lovely. There was a choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurt and a freshly cooked breakfast if you wanted one, from a full breakfast to kippers or haddock. We had a full breakfast for the 1st couple of mornings and then varied it after that. You could have beans on toast or scrambled / poached / fried eggs etc, with extra toast. There was tea, coffee, fresh orange or apple juice and jams for the toast.|Would definitely stay here again.
This is one of the nicest, most pleasant guest houses I have ever stayed in.
A lovely, warm and friendly welcome from the owners.
The rooms are clean, beautifully decorated, and a nice selection of teas, herbal teas, coffees and biscuits.
The duvets are plump and fluffy, on comfortable Silent Night beds.
Our room overlooked their beautiful garden.
Breakfast is very generous, they won't let you leave hungry! Good quality food, done to perfection.
The breakfast room has a lovely ambience, soft lighting, and soft, gentle background music of popular melodies.
There is also a bar here, and a pool table.
Everything was beautiful and perfect. We will definitely be back again next year.
Thank you.
I am unsure why this is listed as a restaurant. It is a comfortable, homely and welcoming B&B,a 10 minute walk across the Old Bridge from the town centre, where there many excellent restaurants. It does superb breakfasts, freshly cooked. The smoked haddock and poached egg was excellent. The breakfast room design suggests it may have been a pub or restaurant in the past. Overall, it is comfortably adequate for a short stay. The showers was a bit wishy-washy and the loo flush was definitely underpowered, but no other complaints.
Me and the missus had a lovely night stay here, the whole place was spotlessly clean, the beds were amazingly comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. The owners are lovely people always on hand to help. I only wish we'd took pictures as the ones on here are a bit old and it's since been redecorated and looks lovely.
What a fantastic weekend my daughter and I had. Ian and Linda made us so welcome. The bed was so comfortable, best sleep in a long time. A short walk to town and seaside..Plates ,cutlery and wine glasses available in the sitting room also board games ,my daughter and I ate local fish and chips in style on the patio in the sun and played dominoes .The breakfast choice was great, the cooked breakfast was lovely, choice of scrambled, poached or fried eggs. Thank you can't wait to return
We enjoyed our stay at this guest house. Very clean & tidy. The rooms are of a good size & are comfortable. The breakfasts are superb. The staff are friendly & not overbearing, which can be a drawback. The bar was not always open, but when it was we enjoyed a reasonably price drink. A would strongly recommend this establishment for a holiday.
