Best KPortal Reviews
First time here and love it. Great food AND they serve dark bear in 22oz glasses, unlike Boomtown (next restaurant over) who serves their dark beer in small tulip glasses with half foam. Shame on them. Anyways, Rink is awesome ???? Lisa was a great waitress.
GREAT food, a little bit dated on the interior decor, but the kids loved the hockey theme and also playing on the variety of machines. Bring dollars or quarters for the kids to play!
Pizza was outstanding, as were the boneless wings. Kids had the spaghetti and meatballs + a cheeseburger with fries. Absolutely worth the stop off the highway on our way back to the Cities. Friendly service and good food!
Possibly the best fish fry on the Iron range. The staff were amazing! The food came out fast and hot. The fish was crispy and delicious.
First time at the restaurant. The meal was reasonably priced, you received a lot of food and it was very good. Very friendly waitress and enjoyed talking to her. I would highly recommend and will return when I am in the area again. Thank You
I would NOT recommend eating here after the horrible experience we had today. We did arrive in a big group just before noon and had a pleasant waitress that took out drink and food orders. Our food slowly came out over the next TWO HOURS!
The worst part was that many others that came in an hour to an hour and a half after us received their food before people in our group! Some of the food that came out two hours late was fried pickles, a salad, a club sandwich, kids meal burger among many other orders.
At one point the manager came out to find who hadn't received food yet. I ASSUMED it was for the purpose of adjusting the bill to compensate for the poor, slow service. The horrible experience would have been easier to swallow had there been an effort to adjust the bill, or even comp the affected patrons a round of drinks. This DID NOT HAPPEN!! Very POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE and MANAGEMENT here! I've worked a large portion of my life in the food and beverage industry, and this would have been UNACCEPTABLE at ANY place I've previously worked! Do yourself a favor, and DON'T PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!
Our team came for a meal during a hockey tournament. The staff did a great job keeping up as nearly every seat in the place was taken. Good food, great drinks, friendly people.
Don't let the outside fool you into thinking the place isn't open. The inside was nice and clean and bright. Bar keeper was upbeat and quick to help. The cheeseburger came with some crispy, flavorful fries. The burger was not a hit,. It just didn't have anything special about it, and tasted a bit freezer burned. Not worth the 9.50
The chili was good with just the tiniest bit of heat. I had the upgraded size, which was not a huge serving. Does not come with crackers, but did include cheese, onions and sour cream.
Lively sports bar atmosphere with TV’s in both the dining and bar area. A fun local watering hole type spot and hockey fans will definitely enjoy the decor. Perhaps not the best intimate quiet date night spot, unless perhaps it’s a first date and you want the distraction of a TV on every wall. Floors are cool and clean, But just a bit louder since floors aren’t carpeted.
Locally owned and operated, you can see they take pride in their business, staff and dining experience.
We enjoyed the all you can eat fish fry and will definitely be back.
TIP for access- good legal ATV access. From the Highway 53, the frontage road can be a little tricky to see where to turn in the dark, so look for and turn by the Subway Restaurant.
