I used to visit here about once a week, I think today is my last visit. The food is normally pretty decent, but $16 for a lunch plate is outrageous especially since THE SHRIMP IN MY SMOTHERED OKRA WERE NOT DEVEINED. Whenever I visit a restaurant that doesn't bother to devein shrimp it's always my last visit. I would normally give the food here good ratings, but not deveining shrimp is inexcusable, especially in South Louisiana. Nice people and nice owners, undeveined shrimp... it's a no all day long, it's just wrong.
Service and food were amazing! Nicest ppl you can meet! The owner and her husband are amazing! I had to bring my wife bc it was so awesome! She loved it!
Check this place out!!! I didn’t realize they were here nor had the selection they did. They have hard to find tackle plus a great selection of local makers. To the best of my knowledge they are the only live bait game in town with shiners.
They also have food which I haven’t had the chance to try yet but based on the number of people stopping for lunch it must be good.
My husband & I stopped in for the baked chicken plate lunch & wow it was really good. The parsley rice & green beans were really good as well. Very well seasoned!
I had the smothered chicken plate with potato salad and peas. They took the extra step to add small things like bacon to the peas and it showed. Such a great plate lunch for $10. Wish there was an online menu to view upcoming plates for the week. Definitely planning on returning

Small, locally owned business that also serves food. They do great keeping up with everything even running with a crew of maybe 6 or 7 people. Owners are very friendly and always greet you with a smile.
A bit overpriced for lunch. Got a pork chop lunch the porkchop was about 2 inches around fry the mac and cheese was good a 2-inch piece of cake and a spoonful of salad will not get nothing again
