We stopped for lunch on a wet and miserable day and were received with a very friendly welcome despite not having a booking. We were seated next to a roaring fire and had excellent table service throughout. We tried a few smaller plates for lunch which were all excellent and the rest of the menu was very tempting.
The garden by the river looked lovely too and I’m sure is great in better weather.
Would thoroughly recommend - great atmosphere, service and food!
Dogs only allowed in the garden.
Had a great time here. Food was fantastic and service was above and beyond. We had a table by the fire which was roaring the whole time making the place nice and snug. The garden out the back was beautiful. Not dog friendly though FYI.

Thank you to Rachel and Dan for giving my father the most amazing send off. The pub was packed with over 80 people celebrating my fathers life. The food and service was out of this world. Dan’s suggestion for the food was spot on and we have had so many comments about how wonderful it all was. The waiting staff were very helpful and kept the drinks flowing all afternoon. Stumbled on this pub during our Sunday cycle and stopped for lunch. We were all really impressed by the quality of the cooking and pretty plating. Staff were also very attentive and well mannered. Prices are slightly high but adequately reflects the care they’ve put into the food.
Came here after a recommendation. So glad we did! Food was absolutely sublime ! We didn't book but tables soon filled up so we will next time. Didn't feel rushed and the atmosphere is lovely.

Nice old pub with a really nice beer garden. The beer garden is the definite selling point - it's really quaint and very pleasant to sit and have some food and drink in - very relaxing. The food was good but did take a while to come - we weren't rushed so this wasn't a problem. Good selection of food and drink and for the size of the plot, had plenty of parking spaces. I will return.
