After paying for my coffee, I had to wait 15 mins for it to be poured.
Seating was comfortable.
No atmosphere though, maybe because it's in hospital grounds.
I waited in line with perhaps 5 customers in front of me for 15 minutes to be served with my little granddaughter getting increasingly upset at the wait. I ordered my food and drink and went to wait in the crowd to collect it, I waited another 10-15 mins to collect in which time my hot dosage roll sat on the tray was going cold despite there being at least 4 people behind the counter. Prep area behind the counter was dirty with spillages and mounds of coffee where they had spilt it filling the machine up and if I had seen the state of the area before paying, I would have cancelled my order! When I sat down I realised they had not given me the satsuma I paid for that was meant for my granddaughter and had to return to ask for it, the conclusion was that the food and drink were cold, I will not be visiting The pod again. ????
Not bad food, good service, place to grab a quick bite when you're at the hospital. Not too pricey either!
I had an unfortunate experience here. And having had a quick read on here it seems its not unusual.
My bad experience was caused by a blonde woman with glasses.
My brother had an appointment to attend. So I popped in with my 2 year old son.
I was carrying him as his legs were tired ,and as we all know 2 years don't alway act gracefully in public. So he was leaning back from my arms.
The woman in question commented on the way I was holding my son. I then placed my order, and the woman turned round and said I assume that is to take away in a less than friendly tone.
The final comment was about how I would be paying.
Overall I just found there to be absolutely 0 customer service skills and this experience made me feel judged and very much insecure.
Very nice, relaxing area for a coffee & bite to eat.
Only had a coffee but it was good.
Disgraceful behaviour from poor management here, Talk to staff like they are nobody in front of customers and even swear in front of me and my children.
Management need to be replaced here will never go back to this store!
Should be ashamed of yourselves!
Oh and let’s not mention you should learn how to cook a jacket potato ???? !
It would be nice if the fella on the till wasn’t picking the spots on his face and then handling the cups of coffee. Then one of the other fellas was quite surly when asking the elderly gentleman in front of me to move out of the way of other customers. This gentleman was obviously an in-patient as he was wereing pyjamas and had two walking sticks. Not a good experience, several people commented on their attitude.
