Lovely place with lovely staff definitely worth a visit and also dogs are allowed
Wonderful accommodation! Very tasteful as well as newly designed and built 4 months ago. The bed was blissful and the bathroom stunning, especially the drench shower. Breakfast was beautifully cooked, as well as presented. The only fault? Too much to eat!! Each member of staff/co-owners were wonderful to chat to and rightfully proud of their restaurant and accommodation. We'll worth a lengthier stay that I managed!! ????
Four of us enjoyed an excellent meal here in recent weeks. The restaurant was busy and we were a little late but John, the waiter, managed the clientele in an admirable manner, mixing humour with appropriate deference.
When the food arrived it was very good - and a credit to the chef. We had an excellent evening here and will be returning.
Downsides? The meal, though good value for what we received, was not inexpensive and the lack of soft furnishings caused raised noise levels.

One of a new breed of pub/restaurant which also offers rooms. 5 rooms available with excellent amenities. We had two of them for four days. Tasty and plentiful breakfast each morning, but the delivery was a little inconsistent with different people helping in the morning until management have established a team. Restaurant food excellent. Definitely a good find and one to watch.
Stayed for a night in August. The room cats paw, Was spacious, comfortable and the bed fantastic. After a week touring Scotland via hotels this was the best nights sleep in ages. Food fantastic and Jon, Fraser and team are great. Best place in the Scottish Borders. Thanks for a lovely night T and M. X
Was traveling around the borders and came across this little gem. The atmosphere was cosy and staff super friendly. The food was 5 stars even the biggest food critic our daughter loved the food. I would highly recommend the restaurant to anyone traveling around the Scottish borders.
The food is amazing. Probably the best food we have eaten anywhere in the last 12 months. Rooms are very comfortable and very clean. The service from the staff is exceptional. It is worth going out of your way to visit.
Bit of a last minute booking for dinner with family and not sure what to expect. It exceeded expectations, good and varied menu with fantastic food. Attentive service in a really nice environment. A great find and looking forward to going back soon. Highly recommended.
