I've been here a couple of times now and once was fine - nothing remarkably good or bad - but the 2nd was truly awful. We came for kids night, which is a great idea with kids eat free and a balloon animal artist, and presumably a way for them to drum up business on a Tuesday night.
But, things started off rough when they gave us a high chair that was so wobbly/rickety I thought my 24 lb son would break it. Then it took over an hour just for our appetizers to come. I could tell something was going wrong so before the apps came I asked the server to rush the rest of the food. The dining room had 4 other tables of people, also with kids, but it was not by any means busy. There is no excuse for it to take this long. When I asked for the rest to be rushed, the server looked at me like I was doing something wrong. We were there with friends and their kids, too, so we had 3 little ones. Anywhere else we go to eat with little kids COMPLETELY understands the need to rush service for kids. Our food finally came and it was fine. Similar to last time, truly nothing remarkable about it. I would not recommend the fajitas (honestly my fault for ordering that here).
The final straw was that they have no changing tables in the bathrooms. How can you host a kids night and have high chairs (which says you welcome little kids) but not have a place to change them?! This is a major oversight by management. I live very locally so I really want this place to be awesome as I love going out locally, but it just feels poorly run.
Came here for the first time today at around 2 PM. Not many people were in so we got seated very quickly. The vibe is very chill, with a lot of alternative rock in the background. Our waitress Caroline was very nice and gave great recommendations. The food was over the top. We had wings and the mac and cheese for our appetizers and let me tell you— good isn’t even the word. We were so busy chowing down on the apps that by the time our food came, we were already halfway full. My husband got the tricolor tortellini and I had the chimichurri hanger steak with the mashed potatoes. Beyond amazing and packed with flavor. I can’t wait to come back and try the other menu items when I’m done with my food coma.
To echo the reviews about poor service, we just tried to eat there and had to walk out. We sat down and were ignored for ten minutes, someone took our drink order, and then ignored us for another fifteen minutes. There was some kind of party in the back that seemed to occupy the whole staff. That’s fine, but close the restaurant if you’re not gonna staff it properly. Probably not coming back here.
The steak and eggs were delicious. We were the first one to be in. I like it quiet and friendly the mimosas were ok. Will go back.
Food was good, and service was good as well. This place is pretty big with lots of tables and a nice outdoor seating area. I had the mojito hanger steak (well cooked) , house side salad (fresh) and lettuce wrap (very tasty). They need to improve their wings (plain wings were extremely bland)
Just tried this restaurant for the first time last night. I have to say I was so excited to go on kids night but we left so disappointed.
The balloon artist was amazing, loved her. Food was ok, however service was absolutely terrible. Waited nearly an hour for appetizers and drinks, and the waiter was extremely rude. Unfortunately, we will not be going back.
Went on a Tuesday night, place was pretty empty. Service was awful. Waiter took forever to bring drinks and food. Didn't check on us for refills or for anything we might need. We had to go to bar to ask for condiments, extra napkins and refills. Food was mediocre at best.
One of the only bars I'll go out to. Place is spacious enough that when it's packed you can still move around and hear the person next to you. A nice patio out back to grab a smoke and they also have another bar out there. Food is well above average for a bar. Definitely an every week kind of place.
