What a lovely surprise to randomly pull over and have a lunch this good. I can only rate on the burger I had, which is a special, but the burger patty was fantastic, juicy and cooked to perfection, the bun was artizian, the coleslaw was delicious, the salad was mixed and fresh and every last chip was perfect. This all leads me to believe they have a chef that really knows what he is doing. I hope I pass this way again ????
The chef created a wonderful vegan meal for my son who was visiting from America -a mushroom risotto made with a variety of different mushrooms which was very tasty, followed by a delicious chocolate mousse made using avocado. We will be going there again!
Arrived a bit before 12 noon and took the dogs for a walk rather than hang around a bleak car park. When we got back had a snooty note saying that this was a private car park and not to park there again. Every intention of going in for a meal and drink but the pub was still closed. We have no intention of going back, with that attitude it deserves to remain closed.
Fab little pub, full of charm and steeped in local history. Shame the landlords ran it into the ground and have sold it to a used car sales company! What is happening to our pub industry - it's a travesty!
Rubbish food, 4 measly battered prawns that looked as they came from Iceland and a huge mound of cheap supermarket chips. All served in a plastic basket, is it 1975? Eight of us ate and no one had a good word to say about any of it.very disappointing.
Really poor menu, no vegetarian options, had to ask but all dishes were mushrooms. Helpful staff but the menu is poor and very expensive.
Poor selection on the menu. Not a good atmosphere. Although the guy behind the bar was very helpful
Two of us had lunch, and both the quality and quantity were excellent.
