We were immediately welcomed and were checked on numerous times during our short wait. We felt like VIPs for no reason got a large booth. It is a busy restaurant and the food is cooked in full view, which is reassuring. There is also a small bar in the same space. The food and drinks are a good value. The food portions are large so there is plenty for leftovers the next day. The flavors are great. I would try to find something less rich on a next visit as I'm used to eating lighter food, but this is the pasta bowl, so that's the way to go here. I loved the artwork from photographs of the neighborhood and a cool mural. The room is a little dark for me but reminds me of family Italian restaurants we went to when I was growing up in this area. We'll be back for sure. Our daughter told us the desserts are great but we have to come just for dessert for that I think.
We ordered the family dinner from pasta bowl. It comes with 1 app, 1 salad, 2 entrees, and 1 dessert for $55. Final total $85 after tax, fees, and tip through GrubHub.
Overall experience was good. I would do pick-up in the future, and choose an appetizer that travels/warm-up better. They forgot the salad dressing but we had options at home.
My brother, his girlfriend, and I went to this joint and the service was good but the food was lacking. I ordered a fettuccine chicken Alfredo, my brother ordered the signature dish, and his girlfriend ordered a pesto spaghetti dish. I went with the safe pick but even then the fettuccine was at best a 4. The signature dish is not for everyone since their sauce is overwhelming. The pesto was at best a 3 and despite the waiter recommending the dish, it was not very good. We tried each other’s dishes but I would not recommend since they also put diced tomatoes on garlic bread. The table was a little wobbly as well.
Easily one of our favorite spots to grab dinner for my husband and I. Service is top notch ! Mozzarella sticks are so so good! The pasta here is like a warm hug especially during the winters. Pasta Bowl has become our comfort food to dine in and order from for pick up.
I came here on a Thursday evening after placing a pick up order. I got the 'Dinner for 2' and it was spectacular! We got the appetizer with goat cheese and tomato sauce, a grilled chicken caesar salad, penne alla vodka, chicken parmesean, and a tiramisu! All for $55. And the portions were amazing, I was so full. The caesar salad was amazing, the appetizer was fire, the entrees were like 8/10 for me because they could've been a bit more seasoned. The tiramisu was PERFECT. Will definitely be back again.
The place is cozy and it has open kitchen, we got the table immediately on Saturday night without reservation. Our server Izzie was nice and very friendly. The food was good - pasta bolognese was a hit (perfectly balanced sauce, meaty and hearty) however caballo blanco was missing salt and pasta wasn’t al dente. The portions are quite big and the prices are fair. Will be back to try other pastas and hope salt/cook level will be perfect then.
Very nice establishment with friendly staff. But the spaghetti and meatballs was a no for me, it’s just wasn’t giving spaghetti for me. The spaghetti had very little taste and the meatballs were a nice since but was very very blend with no taste as well even with the sauce over them. They also give you a bread on the side with the spaghetti and the crust was hard and the inside was soft almost like a soft dry texture. I also got the garlic cheese bread and it was good. I would love to give the place another shot with another dish to try and see if it’s a actually a no for me.
Came here with my family and the only seating was right by the door. So we were really cold every time someone came in and out! We ordered the bruschetta and mixed salad and they were both really good. My son ordered chicken Alfredo fettuccine and he loved it he gave it 10/10. My girlfriend ordered the farfalle Pollo and she loved her meal as well she said 10 out of 10…
I was very excited to eat here as my friend visited a few days ago and told me about it. Sadly I was not able to eat because I have a shellfish allergy and they informed me that they cook all of the pasta in the same water so there's a chance of cross-contamination because of the lobster ravioli they boil in the water. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try out the food. However, my family loved it and recommends it to anyone wanting to try it!
Update: the waitress came back and sent me home with sauce so that I can make my own. I thought that was pretty nice of her.
