Everything was good as usual, but the next time I come y'all owe me extra pancakes because they come with skillets. Or am I wrong.
The food is always good! Everyone is friendly and nice. The older black guy that dresses nice, I believe he's the owner or the manager does an outstanding job with this restaurant. I will definitely be a forever customer as long as he's there and his staff 10/10
I have been going to this place since the mid 1980s. Very simply, it is a great breakfast. One is deep on the south side of Chicago, with all of its rough edges. But the breakfast at this place is excellent. We had pigs in a blanket, which were super… I easily could have eaten two of these large plates. Also had pancakes, which were excellent. Some, this place is as good as it was 40 years ago, which was fabulous.
Everyone that works here DOES WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE!!! from greeting you with pleasantries, ensuring a short wait time, smiling and friendly wait staff, hot and delicious pancakes and all the other things. I can tell management has a strong presence and they work as a team!! I LOVE TO SEE THIS!! Continue to ADD value to the community by letting all people of color feast in harmony and laughter!! Bravo!!
Went for a late breakfast with 2 friends. It wasn't too busy, we were seated promptly, and once we ordered, our meals were served right away - great! My blueberry pancakes were delicious! A great place to eat!
Great food - ordered the spinach crepe with my choice of potato pancake (the thin, lace-like kind) and fresh orange juice. Portion size was very good. Service was friendly and attentive. Well-maintained (seemingly recently renovated), sunny, airy, clean establishment. Noise level increased as it got busier. Plenty of mall parking available directly west. Can't wait to return.
One of my favorite childhood breakfast spots still has phenomenal breakfast! Everything is good and pancakes are some of the best in thr city! I strongly recommend the baked apple pancake and Dutch baby Garden (vegetarian). However, they take a while to cook, so call it in.
I've eaten here several times. The staff have been courteous, observant, professional, and prompt. The price was a bit steep for the pancake breakfast with a waffle & sides. The waffle comes alone, so buying the sausage & egg pushed the total to almost $50. The food was delicious!!!
