Best KPortal Reviews
Really good place. Very fitting for Eugene, tons of T&F posters and magazine covers on the walls. Menu is old fashioned, so is the design of the restaurant. Waiting room has photographs of the community. There is a photograph of Caitlyn Jenner at the restaurant in the waiting room. Service was great, super friendly and professional. The food was great, hearty and tasty. Just a great dining experience overall.
Great food and service. Poached eggs were perfect. Biscuits and gravy were awesome. Bacon, wow... thick cuts.... a bit crowded, and parking was difficult but well worth the wait.
This joint was fantastic! Pancakes were delicious and the thick cut extra crispy bacon was amazing. Everything was well cooked and seasoned. Service was fast and friendly. The place was absolutely packed but they kept things moving very well. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a legit down home style breakfast!
My group ordered the Dutch Baby, Pigs in a Blanket, and the Coconut Waffle. Everything was delicious!
The food was good, but the price point for the food was interesting, to say the least. As someone who's been in the food industry for the past couple of years, it wouldn't necessarily be my first choice but also isn't completely off the table. Their bacon waffle and coffee are pretty good. Some of the staff is friendly, and it does have a family feel to it. The next time I go, I'll probably go by myself just so I can get a better experience, and when I do, I'll update this review.
Even though there was a crowd. Our wait was only 5 mins. In my opinion, the number of patrons speaks to how amazing the food is. The OJ is fresh squeezed and that’s hard to find where I’m from. It’s was great to see all the UH & Prefontaine memorabilia!
Oven baked pancakes take about 40 minutes and are worth the wait!! Bacon is really good also.
This has become our regular breakfast place to go to on the weekends. There's usually a table available, but I recommend getting there in the early morning to avoid having to wait. The food tastes like comfort food. My favorite are the egg's Benedict, fresh fruit crepes (reminds me of my childhood and comes with plenty of fruit & whipped cream), and the bacon waffles. Service is friendly and quick. Only issue can be the parking lot, it's compact and unfortunately there's a mess with the apartment that was recently built, so be careful where you park.
