Delicious food, great portions and choice of areas to sit, either in the pub seating or a cafe area. Good prices and friendly staff. Only downside is there is only one toilet for everyone... Just one!?! To improve this would greatly benefit this place, for sure.
OMG. had afternoon tea for 2. £20 for 2 people. It was amazing. Staff are sooo friendly polite and eager to please. Was busy and buzzing but got served on time. The afternoon tea was delightful. Sweet and savoury with fruit. What more could you want. Could not eat it all. Got doggy bag to take home. Will defo return for another lovely afternoon tea. Good luck to new owners. And i wish them well
We went for Afternoon Tea today,
it was beautiful.The food was lovely and fresh and a good variety of sweet and savoury.The waitress was a lovey lady and was very attentive.We would highly recommend going.
Lovely lunch in quiet surroundings with really helpful staff.l had the beef ciabbata the beef was really tender gravy tasty . My husband had the fish and chips we both struggled to finish our meal. We'll done keep up the good work. We will definitely go again.

Lovely friendly attentive staff. Very good Covid regime. Food hot and tasty, plenty of it at a good price. (Had Sunday Lunch). Nice old fashioned pub atmosphere. Was really enjoying the experience, until an old fouled mouth man came in. His language was absolutely disgusting. There were couples in, I was with my daughter. This horrible man spoilt the atmosphere. He was very rude about a couple "sitting in his seat". The staff member went over. It appears he must have said something about his terrible derogatory language, as just after that he seemed to quite down. Well done to that staff member. I would recommend this venue, as long as this "man" was not visiting at the same time.
I have been going to the Vestry for a few months now and I love it. The staff are fantastic and the food is fabulous, proper homemade and freshly cooked. I always tell people that they need to try this pub and recommend this to anyone and everyone I meet and speak to. Keep up the good work.
Went for Sunday dinner av had change my review from praising them last week went on Sunday with mam was pure robbery £21 a got one Yorkshire one piece meat scoop mash potato that wouldn't feed baby and roast potatoe that been cut into four pieces to make look more and tiny bowl off rock hard peas a carrot that been split into four and bit cabbage by way had share that between 2 people one was suppose big big Sunday mine and mam's small was no difference what so ever and mine was £3 odd more taking the Mick
