Cracking pub. Busy front with pool and darts. Relaxed back with very nice decor.
Good prices, great quality drinks.
Best of all, a warm welcome and made to feel right at home, big thanks to Lisa from us 3 northerners ????
First time visiting The Old George and it was an absolutely brilliant night. The atmosphere was fantastic. They had live music a band called New Age will definitely be going back.
This pub has been transformed over the last year into a fun, relaxing bar and outside area. Every weekend bands or DJ, meat draw. Quiz night in week. Great beers, ciders, spirits and cocktails.
Nice mix of ages and everyone is so friendly. Land lady Amy is just lovely and her staff are so friendly and service is good. Great village pub for locals and anyone passing. Just amazing turn around of this pub. Great atmosphere ❤️
Absolutely disgusting. i went in with my dad and grandad for a family night out, i’m 16 and was only drinking coke. i really wanted to see this band live, so i did and i was asked to leave. i stood outside and was still asked to go. one of the staff members was very rude to me and my dad, she said we could sit on the wall facing the pavement but not the pub? doesn’t make sense whatsoever. she also tried to make me wait outside alone at 10pm even though previously asking me to let my dad know he was banned. how could i do that when he was inside a very loud busy pub without going in? she was absolutely disgusting, didn’t care about getting up in my face and shouting at me even though she definitely didn’t own the place. she barred my dad, and me too when it wasn’t even her pub. disgusting staff. i just wanted to listen to that band, i didn’t even want a drink or anything.
This pub over the years has been a dive at times HOWEVER I cannot stress enough how both the landlady and staff have turned this pub around!
Welcoming, clean, tidy, and warm atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff who accommodate all types of clientele! WELL DONE LADIES From a local business women xx
The little girl that claims that she is a supervisor is a complete little jobsworth All my daughter wanted to do was listen to the music. She didn’t want to drink alcohol and you completely ruined our night. We was told that we can stand on the patio then we was told no we have to be off the premises but can stand in car park. We was then told no we cant be in the car park.
so we was stood on the public footpath while i was waiting for my wife to collect my daughter. but she still had to make herself important and told us that we cannot drink or drinks on the public footpath. The glasses have to be in the pub, even though we was told to leave the pub will never return.then 3 other customers all clearly stood on public pathway drinking there drinks. i spoke politly to the girl all the time but she was just so petty even to the point where was sat on the wall out side the pub and she told us to get off and we had to move so our legs were on the foot path side not the pub side. Being a business man myself i know how important it is to keep customers in these tough times but unfortunately they have lost mine and my family is custom. I will now be drinking in the cricketers or the Acorn club.
Lots of work has been done here to ensure everyone's safety, one way system, hand sanitizing stations, 2 point order and collect for drinks.
Friendly staff and certainly a brighter more welcoming feel since the refurb. £5.00 minimum spend on cards.
Popped in for evening drinks. Ordered a Gin and Tonic but was not given the tonic bottle. 1/3 was poured out leaving the rest for another customer.
