Had breakfast here during a visit to Hythe. It was simply magnificent, food cooked to perfection and plenty of it. The staff were lovely and really made me feel welcome. I’ll be back……
Such a cosy cafe. Lady serving and seating people went out of her way to make us comfortable. So kind. Food and drink was also excellent and really good value. Loved it.
We visited with our toddler for a late breakfast. The portions were huge and very well priced. It's a cosy little place with a homely feeling, recommended.
I really enjoyed coffee and cake with daughter and baby this morning it was really really lovely as always service and quality was exceptional . I ordered one slice of cake to be halved as it was a good size but was a little suprised that it cost £10 a slice unless I misheard I paid but didn’t ask for receipt xxxxeither way it was a wonderful atmosphere and service
So much potential but let down by a few things. Quant little place and quite cosy. Friendly staff. But it wasn't that great for me but my partner enjoyed her food. When you sit down there is a sign that says "All food is prepared fresh so in busy times the wait could be up to 30 minutes". All the tables appeared taken so we weren't too worried about the potential wait. I ordered a "fried" breakfast and at £12 I was looking forward to something special and my other half ordered a toasted sandwich. After just over half an hour a member of staff came up and apologised about the wait and offered free additional hot drinks (which was great). A little later the food arrived, this is where for me it went badly wrong (the toasted sandwich my partner ordered was as she said "really good"). Firstly I've never been so underwhelmed by a "fry up", by volume it certainly wasn't worth 12 quid! Maybe the quality would make up for it. Nope that wasn't the case. The bacon looked like it had been attacked by a flamethrower. Now I could of sent it back but I'd waited long enough and to be fair I don't really feel it should of made it to the table. At least two employees/staff members weren't bothered by what they were serving up. The rest of the food was at best adequate.
For a cup of tea and a sandwich this place is okay but for anything else it appears they are punching well above their weight here. Sorry but I won't be giving them a second chance, a real shame
What a wonderful place to go! Recommend to anyone. Staff are friendly a d food is delicious ???? Will be back again soon.
The food is absolutely delicious. Coffee was excellent. Delightful surroundings in a quaint English High Street. Waiter service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend!!!
We had breakfast here and were not at all impressed with the food. My partner’s scrambled eggs were watery and tasteless, whilst my avocado on toast also had no seasoning at all which is very poor. I will say the coffee is really nice and the vegan chocolate cake was very delicious, however I wouldn’t recommend eating from the menu as the food quality just wasn’t worth it.
