I’ve used numerous doctors surgeries and cannot fault the service I have had from everyone.
I visited Dr Edwards recently and received very good attention.
I also have a needle phobia but every time I see Pam it’s like having a chat with a girlfriend and more importantly NEVER feel the needle!
Thanks also to the reception team for being patient with my frustrations sometimes!

The doctors themselves are nice, but an absolute nightmare to deal with. Ive had appointments moved without being informed and on another occasion when I called to get a copy of a diagnosis waited 45 minutes before being told by a pre recorded message I was calling out of hours, and to call back between 8 and 6. I was calling at 3pm
Nice building with good facilities and very clean. Shame about the staff however....Mostly reception, people working in that area are rude, abrasive, and unfriendly, to the point where im sure it must be a requirement on the application form. Doctors are abit hit and miss, some of the time the feeling I get is that they are not listening to me and just want to get me out of the door. On the bright side, the nurses are lovely, genuinely some of the best people I have ever met..
I can’t be more thankful for how amazing the staff are with me, suffering with health ptsd, they go above an beyond to help, inform and keep me calm, Pam an the nurses are absolutely insane I really struggle with bloods but she always gets it first time an keeps me calm thru out an dr vaber (not sure on spelling) have also been amazing getting me the help I need sorting tests and keeping me up to date with what will happen next an explaining everything to me
Thank you all guys I appreciate you all x
Had my bloods taken by Pamela and she was so quick and I barely felt the needle. For someone with a mild phobia of blood she was the ideal nurse and took control when I was jumping out of my seat. Just the latest in a string of good experiences at this gps.
What on earth is going on at New Surgery. I called 8.10am this morning, gave a summary of what was wrong, which obviously needed a doctors eye to see my problem.
Lovely receptionist the doctor will call you back this afternoon.
Waited in was about to call and ask when would i be called, when receptionist called to say why had i not turned up at 3pm for my appointment. I explained i had recieved no call. The receptionist then said she woukd speak to the doctor. Receptionist calls me back and said the doctor had texted me. Obviously i had not heard that coming through as i was expecting a call, which is what has always hapoenned. I was then told i could have a face to face appointment tomorrow morning. If this is the case why could i not get one this morning same problem i have.
Then because i was so frustrated i called to speak with the Practice Manager. I was explaining to a not so nice receptionist, who proceded when i tried to explain, said i am not prepared to argue and you are getting aggressive. I work in the NHS i know how to take a call calm patients down, and putting the phone down on a patient not helpful just bad practice. My husband was sitting next to me and on no account was i rude , or aggressive that is just not my way.
We moved to area 6 years ago and not had much call for a doctors surgery but the two times we have been for holiday jabs the service and advice have been outstanding. Great reception area and knowledgeable staff & doctors and friendly receptionists.
Negligent - I’ve been in and out for 4months with ongoing quite severe symptoms that are literally ruining my life and this surgery is extremely reluctant to investigate - it is impossible to get any form of scan! Zero reassurance and they bat off all duty of care at every given opportunity by belittling your symptoms in which time my symptoms have worsened. I highly recommend you avoid this surgery and register else where or pay for private if you are able. I’ve also been advised by an out of hours to change GP who agreed when I tried alternative methods for help.
