What a lovely pub-restaurant . Friendly staff and even offered our dog biscuits and water . We hadn't booked and was very fortunate to be the last two allowed in by the chef , other walk ins after us were turned away (very popular , so I would I advise to book , to avoid disappointment) . The food was amazing and the staff are wonderful . We had a wonderful night thanks to all the staff and excellent chef .
Had a pleasant snack here at the new Malton the staff were prompt to seat us in the library room with a lovely view of the church outside the rest of the bar area was full with people eating thought it must be good here. We had the 4oz steak sandwich with a few chips and the cheddar and pickle sandwich with a few chips. 2 pints of Stowford press cider . Would have loved to have tried more from the very varied menu . Such a great selection for people . Gluten free and dishes that can be made gluten free . We will be back this way again and not hesitate to eat here again .

I enjoyed the fishcakes and lemon sorbet (for dessert) very much. The staff was friendly and helpful, too. Pleasant visit — I'm sure it won't be the last.
Had a fantastic night at the New Malton, a lovely atmosphere, the food was amazing and Gemma and her team of staff were excellent. Without doubt my favourite spot to eat in Malton.
Brilliant service, dog friendly and supplied a water bowl. Whilst the food is pricey (for Yorkshire ????)
Absolutely well worth it.

Super food, lovely atmosphere & friendly attentive service. Took our dog and he was really well looked after too with a bowl of water on arrival & a plate of dog treats. My husband tried the thirds of beer which was such a good idea and well received. A great evening had by all. It really is a pub for everyone, children are welcomed, locals are in there for a pint & it’s great for foodies too.
