My first time here. I've had food from here as a food delivery and wasn't particularly impressed. However, when I visited here it was a little different. The mix grill was pretty good. The curries were well presented but they were little too sweet for me especially the King Prawn Curry. Not sure if it's the Nepalese style of cooking where they like their dishes on the sweet side. Generally it was ok, but nothing spectacular. It's a friendly pub, good service and they can pull a decent pint of Guinness
Went to The New Garden Gate and it was epic! Started with Chilli Chips – spicy and addictive. The Paneer was super creamy and the Chicken and Lamb were full of flavor. Hard to pick a favorite.
The service was top-notch. Staff were friendly and quick, making the whole place feel like a family-run business. They made us feel right at home. And guess what? We even met the owner! It was great to see the person behind the food, and they were really welcoming, adding to that family vibe.
The place was clean with a nice, cozy vibe, perfect for grabbing some comfort food.
Overall, The New Garden Gate is a winner. Fantastic food, awesome people, and a family feel that makes you want to return. Totally going back, and you should too if you’re into tasty Indian food.

Definitely a fan of this place, the service was fantastic and welcoming, the pub itself is huge, spacious and comfortable, the food is good, not up there with the best I've had, but still very good. There's a fairly good beer selection.
The prices are very reasonable compared to other places these days. Nice touch serving complimentary poppadoms shortly before the food comes out.
Overall a nice place, caught up with old friends, food wasn't bad either think they new car parking system so make sure you log your reg into the computer system at the bar.
Absolutely Famtastic, I feel like part of the family every time I go here, the food is outstanding, the staff are amazing, it can get very busy but what a place to spend your time in. They have a huge screen in the garden. One thing I can say is that they could maintain the Garden better, but that is minor compared to all the positives about this place. I wish the pool table was always available because when they have a function, it isn't available to use, which is a shame.
We ordered a variety of different foods. Was really nice, very hot.
Very good place for family and friends. We enjoyed alot in this restaurant. Staff's are very polite and outstanding nature. I visited on Monday. It was fabulous experience. Will come again soon????????????
My first time visiting The New Garden Gate , Sunday afternoon was relatively quiet with very few people. Staff was very polite and the place was clean.
When it came to the food my experience was not any good. I ordered paneer tikka which was lacking flavours ???? following that I had Daal Makhni which was ok, Soya Tikka Masala which I absolutely loved it, the naan and rice was dry.
Needs improvement in food quality and slow service.
