We stayed at The Nags Head as a group of 5 friends in 2 rooms. I stayed in the family room which was ideal for us with a double bed & 2 singles! It was at the front of the property so there was some road noise, but this didn’t cause us any issues! The only thing I would recommend is a shower screen for the bath. We had an evening meal & breakfast there which was really nice, I would highly recommend!
I don’t like going full Karen but here we go, Awful overpriced roast!
The meat was dry, (even the dog wouldn’t eat the Turkey) the veg was under and the gravy was vinegary. The staff were very brash. Understandably it’s busy and hectic as it was a Sunday but it was only just 12, service had only just started. I heard one waitress say to the table behind us “is everyone actually looking at their menus?” Before telling them the specials. Absolutely unbelievable
An absolute gem of a pub with excellent accommodation and service to go with it. It's close to the town centre and all amenities. If you stay, the rooms are very spacious and the breakfast in the morning definitely needs a mention. Has a large rear garden and ample seating in the restaurant. Would recommend this a great place to stay or just to enjoy the excellent food.
A nice pub in the centre of Chichester. Staff were excellent when our heating failed, providing an electric heater immediately. Breakfast was very tasty with good quality ingredients. |The staff were really pleasant and, although the room was petite, it had all we needed for a comfortable stay.
Stayed here with family and friends while in visiting Chi. Nice looking old pub. The staff were very friendly if you're to them. Bit of a local pub for local people if you know what I mean. Few things to mention. Most of the staff are very helpful and friendly. The guy who met us for check-in at the restruant bit came over to us while eating food, no hello. "Someone seeing to you?" No information given (checkout time, breakfast time etc) He reluctantly showed us to our rooms. The rooms themselves were fine. Clean, tidy but a bit hot. Some wear and tear but nothing really to moan about. Expect noise as it's a pub at the end of the day. Never bothered me. If you're situated at the front, there's a busy road with heavy traffic. Again, that didn't bother me as I knew what it was and where it was. The staff (apart from that guy) were brilliant. Very kind and helpful. Big up to Caroline, Tom, Benn and Joe in particular. Breakfast was nice. (Make sure to ask for beans) Overheard some folks complain about the eggs not being cooked enough. I don't not sure. I only eat the yoke anyways. Great location, parking around the back (but pricey) I would certainly stay again and I expended my stay for 2 more nights. All in all a great place to stay.
Went here for Mother’s Day…and I have to say it was amazing they was running a little behind..but the staff were so polite and helpful..it was so busy! Yet service was amazing we was a table of 16 and had off menu as well as carvery and we was all really happy…our visit was lovely, and will definitely be back again. Made my Mother’s Day so a BIG thank you to all at the nags head for a wonderful experience xx
We are a mature couple and from the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. All the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating going just that little bit extra to meet our needs. The room was warm, clean and well appointed with the largest bed we have ever slept on! Breakfast was a bonus with quality sauced food, cooked to order and perfection. The location is convenient for both the centre and theatre and cheapest parking is the Cattle Market just a few yards away. Thank-you to all who made our stay so special!
Traditional pub, cosy bar with great atmosphere and a very good choice of beers. Spacious lounge with large screen to watch live sport. Good menu with excellent carvery esp. Sunday roasts. Nicely refurbished beer garden. Friendly staff. I would recommend.
