We have enjoyed this place two nights running, lovely atmosphere, lovely staff and great food on both occasions. We were staying at the Carsington water caravan park and would highly reccomend it to anyone staying there or in the area.
Great value while ON EAT OYT TO HELP Out, but would be happy paying full price.
I really like this pub.Mostly because the staff are so friendly.
They are super dog friendly and actually give our Westie biscuits.
We pop in at teatime and has a real local feel about it.
Popped in at last minute, having not booked a table. The staff were so lovely and couldn't have done any more to make us feel welcome. The Sunday roast was home cooked, lovely and fresh and very tasty! The mug of tea was just what we needed too! Thanks for a lovely stop off on our journey home. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.
Came across the lovely pub whilst driving past on our way to somewhere so on the way back we popped in for a drink and so glad we did, very friendly, lovely open fire and good selection of drinks, definitely recommended if you're in the area
What a little gem! The beer was exceptionally well looked after (Timothy Taylor Landlord) and very reasonably priced, which is rare in this day and age. The service was fantastic and very attentive - both in the bar and at our table. The barman, who also took our food order, was so friendly and really added to the overall experience!
The food was excellent quality and, again, great value for money. The pie was out of this world and a huge portion! I would thoroughly recommend The Nags Head, Hulland to anyone looking for a good honest family dinning experience...so much so we’re back again in October!

We had a table booked for tonight (that was booked at least 2 weeks ago) it was booked for my mother in laws family birthday meal. Then today, 5 hours before we are due to be there, they ring up and cancel the booking because apparently they don’t serve meals in the evening? Why wasn’t this stated when the table was booked? The table had been booked for over 2 weeks and we got told at 1.30 on the day.
Called in for a couple of pints after work with my wife, friendly staff 2 open fires lit nice pints ????????
