What a great find! | Really fantastic food. I had the lamb shank £19 and my friend had the local Haddock £17. Both were fantastic. |We also had a dessert, I’m not a lover of white chocolate but I decided to order the lemon and raspberry parfait encased in thin white chocolate with fresh berries & raspberry sorbet …it was absolutely delicious & the white chocolate was perfect for it! (£7.25) My friend also loved her apple & summer berry crumble. (£6.50) |The staff were welcoming, friendly & the perfect amount of attention. Really nice feel to the place and parking is easy. Nice size,feels quite intimate. Perfect for a visit after a walk at Loch Leven. |I will be taking my parents there soon. |If visiting at the weekend in particular I would recommend booking in advance.
Visited for first time this evening. I got the lamb shank and my wife got the breaded fish and chips. Everything cooked to perfection but everything also lacked flavour and personally thought the lamb gravy should have been much richer. We both got desserts and although nice also lacked flavour. Shame as could be awesome with a few tweaks to the dishes.
Lovely meal today at The Muirs. Nice portions, all well cooked and fresh. Excellent service from the two guys in the restaurant and nothing was too much bother. Couple of pints of Harviestoun Ale to wash down an excellent Sunday lunch. What’s not to like ? Will be back.
Went for a family meal all the other eateries in Kinross seem to be closed so top marks to the Muirs for keeping everyone fed and watered in the Village. Our starters came quickly all good not a scrap wasted. Our mains were a dream the i had steak pie the meat just fell apart yet juicy and tasty I have not tasted better my family said their meals were equally pleasing. Not much room at the end but i squeezed in a sticky toffee pudding with ice cream oh what a pleasure to get decent ice cream. Thank you Muirs 10/10
Have visited previously with family and was very good.
Had a roast dinner sirloin beef but was a bit disappointed as just two slivers of beef with watery gravy, no homemade Yorkshire pudding, packet bought. and roast potatoes with no distinct crispy roasted colouring.
Asked for french mustard but was given english mustard by the server.
Had a lemon posset for dessert which was very nice.
But left deflated from previous meals I've enjoyed before.
Birthday lunch for my Grandson. The food was delicious the service first class the staff very welcoming and attentive. They even sung happy birthday to him when they brought in the cake I'd provided. Highly recommended.
Went down for a quick lunch... My friend ordered and said the chips tasted like last nights ones... I picked of the Christmas menu.. Got the Grilled Salmon. Was absolutely no flavour...We headed on to the bar to stay for Drinks. Two cocktails 10.95 each..... What!!!!. Was not that price last time I was down and 41 pound for the meal.... which was not a 3 or 2 course... Just a simple dish each...... We will definitely not be back....... The standards have gone and the prices are over priced for what you get !!!!
Excellent food, wide selection of each course available and excellent service. Warm and friendly atmosphere too. Highly recommend a meal here.
