The food is very low quality for what you'd expect from a local diner. Presentation is nice. But the ingredients seemed...off. Syrup was flavorless. Meat seemed like it was the bottom shelf Tyson foods discount cuts. Didn't sit right in my stomach afterwards. The substandard food diminished the charm of the great interior decorating and atmosphere.

The longest we've needed to wait has been 15 minutes, but they have a drink stand outside so you can have coffee or water while you wait to be seated. The coffee was tasty. Both Lillian and Dee Dee have given us excellent service. We had a couple of their daily specials. My wife loves the banana blueberry pancakes and the Monte Cristo. My daughter and I enjoy the chicken fried steak wet burrito and the patty melt. The corned beef and eggs are outstanding too.
The only complaint is that the back room gets so darn loud when it's busy. Some wall hangings would probably solve the problem.
Had such an amazing breakfast here! Amazing atmosphere and great food!! The owner is amazing. I saw a cup I fell in love with and she gave it to me. I wouldn’t expect to her give away all her diner ware but she was nice enough to hook me up. I strongly recommend this little hidden gem. Small town service at its finest. Will definitely be back very soon!!!
Super yummy flavors and generous portions. Both "comfort food" and good options for eating "healthy". Will be coming back!
Update for 2020: Still love this place! Had the taco basket today and it was great! Very filling - three tacos PLUS a side of home-fried tortillachips and yummy salsa. My lunch partner enjoys their salmon pesto sandwich so much that's all I've seen her order, every time! ????
The only waiter on staff yesterday kept talking with one of the cooks in the back. We saw two tables ask if the waiter was ready to take their order?? She was pretty much just standing around and talking her whole shift. Barely any acknowledgment that customers were even in the building. Not great customer service. The food is good here but I think we will only be ordering to-go from now on.

Only negative the food is just OK. No real specialties or something special.
But the staff is great.
Another in the series of chance Eatery Goodness while on the road. Cheerful staff, great food. We had the Loco Moco, which while not an exotic dish seemed an unusual menu offering and thereby required order - excellent! And a turkey+green chilies grilled cheese sandwich with generous fruit side, also excellent.
Recommended.
The mug and company is an amazing place to eat. The service is friendly and quick. The HCP meat lovers mess was made perfectly and it tasted even better. I highly recommend stopping by.
