Pine Plains is a small quiet town so if you are looking for a home cooked meal, and more importantly hometown service and a hometown feel and look no further than “moose on the loose”
I had breakfast and the coffee and everything was absolutely delicious and all the seats in this small little deli were awful with locals discussing call matters of local politics and events.
The staff was overly friendly and welcoming and even though I didn’t even ask for it they gave me the military discount with a sincere show of gratitude and thanks.

Everyone else should too, and if you are one of those city people that tend to destroy our local communities please treat this one with respect because they deserve it.
Just got a basic bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. Sandwich was very good. Typical prices. Service is slow, but staff will bring your order to your table, including outside.
Small quaint deli with friendly staff ready to take your order and there are a few tables and chairs available inside and outside the establishment. They also offer a few varieties of desserts, among them were large heart shaped cookies in different flavors. They also had muffins and other items which I would assume would rotate depending on ingredient availability. I enjoyed my brief experience there. I had an egg and cheese bagel along with one of the heart shaped chocolate chip cookies for later. I would definitely recommend!

Popped in here for a quick breakfast and loved it! I was planning on taking my food to go but since they were so friendly and the place was cute, I stayed to eat in. The service is great, the food and coffee were good, and the other patrons were very friendly as well. Being a city girl I found it unusual at first when people sitting at other tables started to bring me into their convos and then it was like I was part of their group. It turned my very stressful morning around.
The food is excellent prices are reasonable the employees very very nice their cold sandwiches man they ain't cheap with they make a big sub and it is tasty
This place reminds me of my childhood. Solid sandwiches and solid coffee. I'd go back.
