A proper friendly old pub. Beer choice nothing special but a nice warm fire and friendly enough clientele. Ideal spot to stop off for a pint after a walk up Penshaw monument on a cold day.
Lovely atmosphere, staff were friendly and helpful. Karaoke was mmmm... Small but nice
A proper village pub with no airs and graces, roaring fires and cold beers. Not as busy as the pub next door but for me that is part of the charm.
