Great place right on the commercial strip. Great and strong drinks. We had cosmo and those were good, however, service was too slow and it was not even that busy, top of it, i found place is too expensive and drinks prices are more than or similar to new york city range. The good thing is, right on street so you can see people pass by and you can enjoy drinks inside with music.
If you are into an upscale bar with lighting that makes everyone alittle prettier this is it. With upscale you get NYC pricing but you also get larger concoctions that take longer to drain. It really is your preference and probably comes out about even price wise. The bar has a friendly vibe and it’s fun to try to guess where the groups of queens come from. The Manhattanites always let you know they are special. And so is this bar.
Reviewing the bar: This was a favorite spot for years. It was a great “dive” bar and had such a fun and friendly atmosphere. However, this latest visit was extremely disappointing. The place felt like a cheap dated disco - shiny walls and led lights.
But the biggest issue was the cost of the drinks (the menu did not list prices) and the drinks were terrible. For two sangria-based drinks, the bill came to $50, not including tip. Insane.
Upscale location, modern vibe. Cocktails start at $19 (mine was $23 ????) ????. Food was extremely fresh and delicious. Service was perfect! Please stop in and enjoy what they have to offer .... Shirtless bartender if you're lucky.
Beware! Rude & hostile staff. After an amazing dinner at the Red Inn we went out for drinks at the Monkey Bar. Shortly after buying them, bright lights were turned on and we were told we had to leave. When I protested one of the bouncers grabbed my drink (a Dark & Stormy) and threw it at me. I would have pressed charges but it was the last night of my vacation and I didn't want to spend my time dealing with toxic people.
In response to the owner: I never went in and out with a drink. I did smoke pot outside (left my drink on the coffee table) which I mistakenly thought was legal anywhere you could smoke tobacco. My friend called the police after I was attacked so now you have added lying to your bad reputation. I suggest you get some video surveillance and if people go to buy drinks 5 minutes before closing let them know.
Love this place, fresh look !!! The best Grapefruit martini ???? that I ever had , food is amazing ,and the staff is a 10 ❤️ , absolutely we are coming back soon . Thank you !!!!!
Came here for just drinks and loved the cool atmosphere, queer clientele, and huge martini menu. Came again and loved the food - they do pan-Asian. The soups were all amazing, decent sushi too.
Great ambiance and excellent service. The owners are very approachable and even gave us a great suggestion on what to order. They were 100% right! Emanuel, our waiter, was very attentive while respecting our privacy. We had the best fried shrimp dumplings, followed by Thai fried rice. Drinks are not skimpy as in many restaurant. Ours was a humongous dirty martini made with Grey Goose. You would be a fool if you not stop by for a meal or two while in Provincetown. By the way, the new decor is jaw-dropping good.
Sincerely,
Mark & Steve
PS: I love cooking and cook a lot. Therefore, I know good food when I taste it! My golden rule is that i should not be able to make the same dishes as tasty as the ones I order in any restaurant. I could not recreate this quality of food at home.
