We are in the area for our grandson's high school graduation and are hungry. Googled, found 'The Midway' gave it a try. Really glad we did... One of the owners, Steve, came by and talk to us a minute, very pleasant gentleman. Our wait person, Kayden, was great! She had a smile on her face and very pleasant attitude. I had the catfish sandwich-AWESOME, and my husband had the cam burger-says it was good (which is a lot from him). The free pork rind appetizer is great.

This place looks really nice. We meet one of the owners, Steve. Everyone was really friendly.
The fish was really good, but the baked beans were plain. They needed seasoned up! I tasted the cole slaw and it was not something I liked, but everyone's taste are different on that.
We'll definitely be going back and giving it a 2nd chance.
We stayed four nights in the Midway cottages in Pluxico and ate at the restaurnt durning our stay.The food was very good and the young man that waited on us was very attentive and knew the menu well. The price was also reasonable and the building was clean with a good atmosphere that had been revamped but still had a lot of old school charm. We had coffee at the coffee shop attached to the restaurant the next morning and it was just as good. Great people and a nice little town, my wife and I can not wait to get back that way.
After commenting on their page about offering lunch special at night for people who work out of town, I was told I could reserve and pick up later in the day. I appreciate their quick response. I got a lunch special, blackened shrimp and grits, it was very good.

I wouldn’t know anything about how good or bad the food is. After ordering and waiting for what I would make a generous estimate of 15 minutes, I started a stop watch. I let the stop watch run for 20 minutes before waking out. The staff was very apologetic after showing them the watch. I believe I was forgotten after placing my order. I was NOT told that the wait would be 45 minutes.
Absolutely amazing food! Wonderful atmosphere and service. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend the Hot Mess Burger and Bajama Breeze drink! ????
If you are looking for a great steak that can be cut with a butter knife and melt in your mouth, make the trip to The Midway in Puxico. Every. Single. Thing. Was FANTASTIC. Definitely worth the drive!
