Best place ever to come and stay. The breakfast alone reminds you of home cooking that we missed as a child. The townsfolk were so friendly. We are looking to buy and move here it's so peaceful compared to city life. 100% recommend the town and the stay here. If you want to see nature, bird sanctuary, or just get away this is the place.
Have been staying here for Canal Days for many many years. The folks who owned it before, became family to us❣The new owners are very kind & friendly & just really great folks too! We look forward to more years of our sisters & friends getaway at the Metamora Inn with Karen & Bill, who are already starting to feel like family❣ Also Karen is a Great cook❣Always leave with good memories & hugs❣
Oh my...where to begin! My 12 yr. grandson and I are both so amazed with the Metamora Inn. The historic accommodations are Clean, Private, Nicely decorated, wonderful shower, and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The hosts are gracious, warm people. Breakfast was very delicious. Their coffee is quite perfect as well!
I had a business meeting in Brookville and the people I met with graciously put my husband and I up at The Metamora Inn. What a wonderful experience we had! While I was off at meetings, innkeeper Karen, found a place for my husband to get a late dinner. Then she, and her husband Bob, sat in the inn’s dining room with my husband! Everything about the Metamora Inn is done well, hospitality, food (breakfast was delicious!) and accommodations. We will be back to visit our new “family” again.
Tho I've taken day trips to Metamora several times, had not been in quite a few years, so when a friend and I decided to go to Wolf Creek Habitat nearby, thought it would be fun to stay there and visit Metamora again as well. Picked this place sight unseen, but based on reviews and pictures online. Left a message, received a call back same day and booked a single room with two queen beds. Would have liked a bit more space to spread out, but the rooms that would allow that were already booked and this one turned out to be very pleasant, with its own bath. Also had a little heater so we could adjust the room temperature to our liking. Room rates reasonable, considering full breakfasts come with the price. Jo, the owner, and her sister were very hospitable, fun to talk to and we had very good breakfasts the two days we were there. Jo even went out of her way the second day, upon learning at our first breakfast that my friend had to avoid gluten, to locate a recipe for gluten free pancakes and make them especially for her. Could a person be any more considerate than that? A good experience overall - would happily stay there again in future.
I contacted Karen to make sure she could accommodate me and an early breakfast, as I had an early appointment. She was very friendly and assured me that she could. I arrived to find my room very clean and comfortable. I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with warm conversation. I wish I could have stayed longer!
Such a cute little place to visit for the weekend. The room was very clean and inviting. We loved spending time in the charming dining area to chat with the B&B host or just read. We had an exceptionally good biscuits and gravy breakfast, all made fresh and from scratch. We enjoyed a family walk on a near by trail. There are lots of fun shops to check out too. Highly recommend staying here for a relaxing weekend getaway. I hear there are lots of music events that happen in the summer and fall months. I'm sure we'll be back to enjoy some good ol' bluegrass music. Thank you to Metamora inn for your kind and genuine hospitality!
