A nice, if a bit expensive, place to eat and drink in downtown Rochester.
We came on a Friday in February and it was easy to get a table. The other places we tried first were packed so this was nice to get seated right away.
The inside is nice and spacious with good seats. Some bench and some tables.
The staff were really friendly and our waitress was awesome.
We ordered apps, a few entrees and lots of drinks. Everything we had was really good. The soup was amazing. They have a really great drink menu, a great bourbon / whiskey menu, and a really good wine menu.
Overall everything was fantastic, my only minor gripe was how insanely expensive it was.

This place popped up in search when we looked for vegetarian options around Downtown Rochester as half of our party does not eat meat/seafood.
We got a nice table for a party of 9, including kids, tucked in a corner and very quickly.
To our initial disappointment only sides, appetizers were vegetarian and main course had ONE entree for Vegetarian friends. So we ordered all Veggie sides we could.
That said, all the Veggie sides and appetizers were DELICIOUS.
We ordered Brussel sprouts, carrots, Tempura Cauliflower, Salad, Soft Pretzel, Spagheti squash, and The Rissoto from the main course. In fact, the chicken I ordered was really bland. The portion size was large to our delight, and we were very full by the end of our dining experience.
Overall, it was a great experience when expectations were low by initial look at the menu.
I will suggest the chef to add a vegetarian patty substitute for the burger and a couple more pasta options that can be customized to a good vegetarian dish.
Ordered the STANDARD BREAKFAST, which would seemingly be very simple to prepare. Not so much.
- Egg was runny…after requesting that it be cooked over hard with a broken yolk (pic is of re-do which I still couldn’t eat)
- Potatoes and sausage appeared to be wrinkled which suggests microwaving
- Original English muffin was not toasted, but had plenty butter on it. ????
- Ketchup not provided
- Coffee not topped off
- Server (Nira) was ‘nice’…but, seemed very eager to (cattily) download to coworkers at the hostess stand. ????????
Spoke to owner. And, while very nice and apologetic, I have zero confidence in any action being taken. He offered to take care of my bill, but I refused. (Didn’t want him to think that was the point of my feedback.)
Definitely kicking myself for coming in. It’s been years since I visited and thought it would be different this time. It wasn’t and this place is a huge disappointment for the Downtown Rochester dining community. #DoNotRecommend
Went with a colleague on a Tuesday evening. We were seated right away. The waitress, Lauren, is a patient, soft spoken and pleasant lady. The restrooms were clean. The auliflower tempura was crispy but lacked flavor. Their bread was fresh out of the oven but it was weird they did not serve butter or any dip with it. My friend had the roasted vegetable salad with grilled chicken which I imagine she liked. I had the Tomohawk pork chop. The pork was so well cooked. The butternut squash with gorgonzola and spinach wasn't a good combination. The thick cut bacon strip really was an odd combination to the dish. Then there was plain melted butter drizzled. Some demi glace or reduction would've been better.
Food was okay but overpriced for what we got. Service was friendly and attentive. Seating was comfortable but very noisy - no carpet or wall decorations to damper voices, so everything echoed loudly.
Loved the food and drinks, bit on the expensive side but worth it. Will go back for sure
Very cozy establishment, menu is very simple and had many alcoholic drinks if you are interested in that, food tasted really well but some items were little too salty. Staff was really nice and refilled drinks often to check in on us
