Came during a quiet night, seated right away and had friendly service. Our waitress kept an eye on us, not rushing us but making sure we had what we needed. Food was very good!
My quest for the perfect Rueben took a very interesting turn.
Overall I’m not much of a Casino person, I also don’t golf anymore but I really did enjoy my meal here. I sat alone, sadly nowhere near a TV with Hockey but that’s okay. I enjoyed some nachos, which for the price I would have hoped the park was a little more juicy. Was just a tad dry. Overall nachos were good, nothing too memorable.
Coleslaw, was a bit sweet, and was missing something. I put the black pepper on but the consistency and crunch was 10/10, perfect. Just taste wise it was missing something and I STILL can’t figure it out.
These fries were GREAT, crisp, potatoey, loved em.
Now for the Rueben. Was fvcking incredible. Toasty, sweet, savory, hearty, was fantastic! Corned beef was sliced just a LITTLE to thick but that’s more so personal preference. Only complaint I have is that it was on Pumpernickel and not Rye.
Nachos 6.8/10
Slaw 10/10 - minus taste 4/10 (7.6/10 overall)
Fries 9.3/10
Rueben 9.2/10
The hunt continues.
Six of us ate dinner here as we had come to the casino for a concert. There was a lot to choose from on the menu. We liked the variety of the signature cocktails as well. Great service, food, and atmosphere.
Not sure I can describe how horrible our visit was. We get seated, 20 min to take our drink order. 20 more to take our order. We ordered an appetizer, the appetizer took an hour to deliver. Literally they set the appetizer down and our food showed up. The waiter never checked back. It was a Saturday night but the place was not full, many open tables. I did speak with the manager and no satisfaction. The table next to us had the same experience. I was with my kids and 3 are servers, they were flabbergasted as to how poor the waiter was. I would not recommend, poor manager, poor wait staff, and the kitchen was slow with food and the place was not what I consider packed. We eat out often, we considered McDonald’s 50 min into our wait. Save yourself the frustration.
My husband and I went here for dinner & it did not disappoint! We were there for happy hour and got the $5 chips & salsa. He got the smokehouse burger and I got the Nola Shrimp. Our waitress was kind and attentive. I had a Virgin strawberry mojito & it was very good! The only critique I have is that our food did not come out at the same time. Otherwise, very happy! We will go back if we return to Mystic Lake!
I drove up from Des Moines for the Alter Bridge concert on February 17th, 2023 at Mystic Lake Casino. I knew that I would want to eat before getting in line. I checked out the restaurants online and ended up at The Meadows around 4PM. Plenty of seating and I was able to be near the front windows with plenty of sunlight. The menu is small but offers some attractive choices. I decided to try the Nola Shrimp along with a Wild State Semi Dry Cider. My waitress, Shayla, was super fast and my food and drinks came out very quickly. The shrimp dish came with four pieces of grilled bread and a mild, tasty sauce. I wished there was some rice to help soak up the sauce. The Cider was a nice pairing. Given that I had room for dessert I ordered a Brownie Sundae. Very nice presentation with the small curls. My only small suggestion is that the brownie be warmed before serving. When all was said and done $40 after tip.
Food is good. Staff are kind. Large bar area and a panoramic view of the golf course. We only had the appetizers. Main dishes going by looked large and tasty. If your not in the hotel you get stopped a couple of times to confirm your going to the Meadows.
The veggie skewers and roasted corn from the summer menu were absolutely delicious and refreshing!
The second item is the southwestern chicken salad with chipotle ranch and a roasted corn salsa. Also tasty! If, you're craving protein this is the dish for you. The amount of chicken in this salad is INSANE!
Both times we've dined here it's been al fresco. Their golf course view is stunning with a tipi, mini island featuring grand horse statues and a waterfall...just gorgeous!
