Best KPortal Reviews
Convenient food if you’re staying at the hotel. Burger and fries beat expectations. Food service was relatively fast. Small tap list and hard alcohol selection, but perfect for hanging out and talking with friends or colleagues on a work trip
Had a horrific experience with Reilly Wyatt, one of the sales associates. AVOID this place at all costs. Never felt more violated in my life. I don’t know how she is still working there after the comments she made to my friend Anthony. Racial slurs are not acceptable now days and never will be. She must have been hungover or drunk/high at work but it doesn’t matter there is no excuse for such poor service and hate crimes. I will never go here again????????????
No hostess or wait staff present. Weird. The one worker (the bartender) gives my girlfriend and I attitude about us asking for menus. Weird. She then comes back to us and starts reccomending other restaurants to us bascially telling us to leave, thats what it felt like. So weird. This type of behavior usually gets you fired at upstanding restaurants. Apparently this bartender has had a few other bad reviews of her poor attitude so let that speak for itself. Can’t help to think that we were being profiled for being young and too poor to afford it but we wouldn’t have ever gone there if that was the case. Also there was a family there eating already so its not like she can’t serve us. Cannot reccomend this place at all go somewhere else.
P.S. The menu online is not the menu at the restaurant.
The description does not match this place at all. Nothing rustic about it and the menu was super limited. We had nachos as no entrees (all 3 of them) weren’t available after 9 pm; and the chips were a bit stale.
Location is great for enjoying the beautful city of Chicago. Holiday decorations were very nice and festive.
Staff was friendly. Yet The food and atmosphere in the Lockwood restaurant was not what we expected from a 4.2 online rating. I'd give it a 2.5-3. Overall despite the food being borderline average it was still a nice experience before enjoying Michigan Ave.
The blonde woman working there (seemingly the only employee) is clearly miserable. She gave my boyfriend and I immediate attitude then proceeded just tell us other places to go. Weird you want to lose out on the money. This also isn’t the first time it’s happened as I’ve read a few other reviews saying the same. Just don’t go here.
I'm not quite sure where to begin. If I could rate zero stars (or -5), I would. We tried Lockwood because it got decent reviews and the menu looked OK. WOW things could not have been further from the truth.
To begin with, they were extremely slow, taking 40 minutes to prepare two salads. When we ordered they were out of some food (romaine lettuce) and also Makers Mark whiskey, a common staple at any decent bar, were out of stock. I had asked our server if they had any bread to accompany our salads. When our salads were finally brought to our table, there was no bread so I again asked if they had rolls or bread. What they brought was two pieces of toasted white bread with butter. The greens tasted old and the chicken was extremely tough. I had an Old Fashioned which was not properly prepared. As a side note they serve inferior Pepsi products.
Overall this meal was certainly not worth $56 for two salads. Live and learn, but I won't ever darken their doorstep again and I could NEVER recommend this place to anyone, ever.
I wanted to eat here, but it was not possible. The only employee I saw was the bartender, who spent 5 minutes making a Cosmo, then told some women that they should go somewhere else that was cheaper, then started on a Mojito for one of them. Nobody was eating food and there was no wait staff. I marveled at it for a few more minutes, then quietly left.
