Lobster roll was pretty good. They give you a small scoop of mayo so u can mix in as much or little as you want. Just wished it was a bigger sandwich.???? Nice spot to check out to eat seafood by the ocean. Indoors or outdoors. I saw people with their pets on the outside so I guess dogs are welcome...
If you are in or around North Boston/ South Maine/ South East New Hampshire, try not to miss this joint in Cape Elizabeth, for amazing Lobster Rolls. Also, the view of the shoreline and/or the Bay from here is just stunning. They have an amazing outdoor seating area (but can be cold if not during the summer/fall). Thank you for a great experience and the first ever Lobster Rolls that we ever tried.
Really good and a decent value in the land of extreme tourist dinner pricing. And the ambience was wonderful. Seeming them prep and cook the lobster that we were going to savor was really cool. And that view is pretty darn amazing. Don’t forget to play on the rocks after you eat!
We were birding in the area and stopped in to see what we might be able to eat (because we are both gluten free). They had gluten free lobster stew and gluten free clam chowder!! Both were so good! It was a beautiful day and we sat outside overlooking the ocean!
Can't beat the view and the service was amazing. Wishing that the lobster rules had been a little bit more generous in portion size but we enjoyed our time tremendously.

Bit of a tourist trap. $27 for a 2 bite lobster ???? roll was a little hard to swallow. Scallops were tasty though a little scarce for $25. So $52 for food for me and it was a pretty small lunch (see lobster roll pic with hand for scale).
No one cleaning tables. Just cranking out the food and bringing in the $$.
It is a nice location with less parking than tables. So if the lot is overfull, there will probably still be (dirty) tables.
Food was decent. Fries were cold though kitchen was waiting on onion rings.
I wouldn't need to return. Check it off the list.
Absolutely iconic setting! Right on the cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. There is a menu board outside for ultra busy times to allow you time to decide what you want while standing on line. This speeds up the ordering process exponentially.
My meal was excellent! Fresh clams used for the fried clams with a light batter coating. They were perfect. The fryer is clearly cleaned because all I could taste were the lovely clams. The fries were crispy outside & tender inside. The coleslaw, while not my favorite, was decent & not vinegary.. I highly recommend The Shack!
And you can absolutely climb on the rocks & soak in the view
The staff were friendly and the food came out quickly. I didn’t know what the expect but the lobster roll was served cold. It was flavorful but not the best roll I’ve had and I do prefer warm rolls. They place a dollop of mayo on top so if you like more of a mayo-forward flavor, you may like this. The clam chowder was good. The blueberry pie was more crumble crust than blueberry. It was good but I prefer more berries and less crust. The strawberry rhubarb pie was better. Really great view of the ocean.
