Best KPortal Reviews

Went for Sunday lunch. Best roast I had. Fluffy roast potatoes. Best banoffe pie too. Definitely be back. Marcus was so lovely spent time talking to us. Nothing was any problem.
We regularly have our family gathering here. Food is always fantastic. Excelent cooking and always tasty. Very friendly and helpful team that run it. Great service and all affordable with a great set menu and the specials change weekly. For us drivers a good selection of alcohol free beers.
Will be making regular visits.
The last shift serves excellent food, I had the haggis and peppercorn sauce starter and the pork & chorizo burger which were both presented with elegance and panache.
Both meals were truly mouth watering and had incredible taste. You simply cannot fault a good fancy home cooked meal.
This place isn’t your typical pub meals. With a set menu and specials there’s enough of a choice for most people. They also have a kids menu that is basic so even your little ones can pick something out they recognise ????.
I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a Friday or a weekend meal with family. You won’t be disappointed by the standards set.
Truly impressive for a small town pub sit down meal. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 from me ????
We visited the Last Shift on Saturday night, as we are renting a holiday cottage a few doors along. We were so glad we went, as we loved all 3 courses! My husbands Haggis main was beautifully presented and tasty. My Chicken in a soy sauce and broccolli, with rice, again delicious. We finished with Sticky Toffee pudding with ice cream and a Apple & Butterscotch Tart. The pub atmosphere had a lovely cosy friendly feel to it. Bar staff and waiting staff extremely pleasant and friendly. Our large breed dog, Johnny was with us and he, too was made very welcome & given water & doggy treats!
We had travelled up from outside London very late the night before, this dinner was exactly what we needed to recharge our batteries! It was also refreshing to see the bill didn't come with the usual service charge, which has become all too familiar where we live. Gladly, we left a well deserved tip for staff. I hear the pub has new owners, we both wish them well in this venture
We had the best meal here, beautiful home cooked food, the staff were an absolute delight, I've not enjoyed eating out as much as this for a very long time, these guys absolutely deserve your support, just fabulous!!
Very friendly bar and new owners are making a real effort to make it welcoming. Home made ginger beer and lemonade were amazing. Haven't eaten there since new ownership and will make a point of doing so.
The food is basic pub fayre that's not really been updated since the 90's. The staff and owners are friendly and there's a very pleasant ambience.
Food is always amazing! Great staff so friendly and welcoming !
Steak pie is delicious along with everything else on the menu!
