We were starving
We finished up a relaxing 5 day trip to the Oregon coast with dinner at The Landing North. The lovely Kate was our fabulous server and I got her recommendation of the ribeye which tender and juicy and perfectly cooked. Hubby got the salmon and said it was excellent. Highly recommend visiting here if your looking for a delicious dinner.
It was one of the best meals for the price I've had in a long time. The rockfish was tender and delicious, and the veggies were perfectly done! We had an enjoyable visit with our delightful server Kate as well!
I really wouldn’t know how the food was as we waited to be waited on after being seated for 30 minutes and nobody came to take our order. The waitress walked by us a number of times without stopping or acknowledging our existence so we decided to finally leave. As we were leaving a staff member did tell us to have a good night. Well thank you since we decided to go somewhere else! It was very disappointing and we will never go there again as well as discourage everyone we know from going there. They weren’t busy. There was barely anyone there. It was terrible and insulting!
The Landing North has become the best eatery in the Gold Beach area! The Chef's Seafood Alfredo was incredible and they had a nice house selection of Chardonnay but the real show stopper was their Crème brûlée Cheesecake! As it was across from the newly remodeled Jots Resort, we enjoyed lunch at The Landing North as well and would highly recommend that as well!
It was a delight to dine-in in this restaurant. We had taken a stop over in Gold Beach on the way to Seattle from SFO during Christmas-New year vacation road trip and we wanted to have food in fine dine restaurant after long drive and this was perfect place as suggested by Sure Stay Plus staff. Our waitress Ginger was super courteous in suggesting food and to have us seated in one of the best table overlooking outside.
Food was super delicious especially Mushroom chicken pasta and Chicken Tortellini. It would have been better if Tortellini was even more creamy. We had ordered Herb roasted chicken hindquarters which was unexpectedly good.
I loved the ambience and if I get chance to that route, I would definitely visit again at least for the waitress Ginger.
As driving the Oregon coast South on Hwy 101 there was a little gem tucked away across the street from Jots Resort in Gold Beach Oregon. The Landing North restaurant & lounge was recommended to me by a local fisherman. As soon as I enter there is an inviting scent of clam chowder soup. My waitress, Tawny, greeted me with a smile. I chose to sit in the lounge so I could enjoy the window view of the Rogue River flowing into the ocean. The restaurant was very clean & the lounge offered a nice variety of wines & liquor. It was lunchtime so I had a Caesar salad with a fresh homemade creamy dressing with fresh grated Parmesan cheese. I also had to try the clam chowder which was the best I have ever tasted. The menu offered everything from prime rib to shrimp scampi. They are opened 7 days a week & serves breakfast on the weekends. Treat yourself you will not be disappointed. Nice place, good service, the food was ok. Not as amazing as I expected for the price, but satisfactory.
