Our second visit to the Lamb, as before, a very warm welcome at a genuine old establishment. Our party of seven were catered for with our pre-ordered Sunday lunches, both beef and chicken choices. All our favourite vegetables, with at least seven different on the plate, lashings of gravy, Yorkshire pudding and stuffing. After a short interval, desserts arrived, consisting of pineapple upside down cake, caramel ice-cream, strawberry cheesecake, apple crumble and custard. Landlord commented that we were welcome to return as we all sent back cleared plates to the kitchen. Our compliments to the chef.... Thank you for a lovely day.
Stayed for four nights. Lovely friendly pub with Sally, the wonderful landlady. Keep their beers frighteningly good! An excellent pint of Guinness. Nice comfortable and cosy room. Centrally located so easy to explore Devizes. A heritage site with great character. Highly recommend a visit.
Visited last minute with my girlfriend on Easter Sunday. As we a sign serving Sunday roasts all day. Went in and felt welcomed plus they had a veggie option for my partner. Owner’s were very accommodating and the roast was superb homemade cooking everything you want from a Sunday roast. Would definitely recommend
Warm, cosy and comfortable, especially on crisp Winter evenings...with a wonderful local beer, Wadworth's 6×, on tap amongst others.
Ideal for a quiet drink... but with plenty of other activities available e.g. this evening (Monday) I enjoyed an excellent set from a local professional folk singer. Others were playing in a pool competition, whilst yet others aimed for the adjacent rifle range.
The Lamb's a real social hub within this historic and scenic town. Recommended.
Lovely old pub with small garden, shooting tube, upstairs music venue which can be good as a function room. Open fires, buffets available, friendly and welcoming.
Old fashioned pub just off the market place. Friendly and welcoming. Great beer and excellent Sunday lunches. Querky and fun.
Fantastic atmosphere, even on a wet Tuesday night. Spit and sawdust, no pretended, great live music, rare shooting range and great staff
Good old fashioned pub. No food - no frills. Just good beer and good company. Great gig venue in The Fold upstairs.
