Wonderful experience first time dining at The Lake House Kitchen +Bar! Always wanted to try it and todays weather was perfect day. The gals at the hostess station were sweet as could be~ fit me in , even without a reservation! Very sweet.
Service was great! Being solo, I was able to observe a lot, and all the servers and workers were pleasant and hard at work! They were hoppin!
Crab corn fritters were delicious and I was early enough to get then at the " happy hour" price. Thai Chili Salmon was delicious! Very tasty! My piece of fish was a bit small compared to others I saw eating same meal, but tasted delicious. Even the table next to me commented how big their piece of fish was.
Lovely view, I will definitely go back and next time hopefully bring some friends AND make a reservation!
Been here a couple times. The service is awesome...drinks and desserts are stellar. Food is good quality, but sometimes a bit bland. The corn fritters had very little flavor. Other items could just use a bit more seasoning...but the food is fresh and of good quality. I would recommend.
Great location with views of the lake. Nice vibe. Our waitress was wonderful. We had buoy burger, pesto pasta, fish and chips, walleye poppers, and salad with chicken. Sit outside if you can, the patio is lovely.
Great place, great food decent menu selections, great prices, great service. Nice views from the outdoor seating. Michelle, our server made sure that we had a memorable dining experience
Update:
We made our first trip here for 2023. They have updated their menus. They have separate menus for the dining room, indoor bar and outdoor patio. The patio menu is limited, but we still enjoyed our selections. The pricing seemed a bit higher, but still fair for the experience.
We were unhappy with our appetizer and no one attempted to address our displeasure. The corn/crab meat fritters were doughy. Doughy to the point were the dough overwhelmed the flavor of the dish. I wouldn’t recommend the fritters, but everything else was tasty and well plated.
Had dinner there last night with a group of friends. First time being there since it was redesigned in 2022. The views are awesome and it was reasonable quiet for us to carry on our conversations. We ordered multiple items from the menu from appetizers, main courses, and desert. All were absolutely fantastic!! Food was prepared and served very well. Our server was spot on the whole night. She was engaging and very attentive, something we don’t see a lot of any more. I should have remembered her name, but unfortunately it escapes me. This is definitely a place to visit with a menu that will please most. My only concern is that it is, if not already, a place that many will come to enjoy!! It was thirty degrees out and we came early. The place was hopping when we left. None the less, it is now one of our regular night out spots. Reservations are a good idea. When summer or warm weather arrives it will be tough to get a seat inside or out! Go early and Enjoy!!
Waited 90 minutes for our food which were four salads and two sandwiches. Four tables seated after us were served before us.
Had to find manager to get our food which was only ok.
There are lots of waterfront restaurants with better service and better food. We’ll try them next time
The waitress was wonderful good service always kept coming back and making sure if we needed anything while waiting for our food, when the food arrived it was lukewarm . I ordered the roasted beef with fries and it also came with caramelized onions and coleslaw as side , the roast beef was sliced too thick it was too much bread for the meat and it was all covered with a slice of semi melted cheese food was sitting under the heat lamp too long also fries (lukewarm) came plain no ketchup offered
What a great meal we had tonight! I order salmon everywhere I go, and this was top notch. Salmon done just right, delicious thin slices of potato topped with corn and some greens plus green beans. Just superb. My wife had succulent ribs with fried potato wedges and a delightful watermelon salad. We enjoyed talking to our talented chef Doug, and Tristan gave us excellent service.
And there's the view. Can't wait until warmer weather.
