Rarely am I able to get away from my 24-hr job of caregiving for my mom to go play pool. Had about one hour today to go with daughter. No one was on the pool table so we came in and proceeded. I asked if the table was in use in case of tournament and was told it was. Maybe I should have asked if we could play one game but would rather have had her offer. So we left.
Glad we did. Discovered "Snookered" (in basement of Eagles). Ten plus pool tables with many open, a cribbage tournament about to start, and great food. Reasonable prices. My new go to spot!
If you like a DIVE BAR, this is your place. Friendly blue collar place with a pool table and a shuffleboard table. Also outdoor seating and cheap drinks.
Bartender don't know how to mixed a very common Cocktail, Sex on the Peach. Didn't garnish any of the drinks with even a lemon or a cherry. Plus the place was very dirty. I don't plan on going back... ????
Love this little place. Sami, the bartender, is awesome AF. Good vibes, good service, good times!
Love this bar. It's like going home again. I lived in Ottumwa late 80's to mid-90's. It just doesn't get any better than that!!
