Went here today, 8/2/24 for breakfast. It was very wet and cold outside but we had a warm welcome from Debbie the owner as we entered. We ordered 2 full English breakfasts, one with poached and one with scrambled eggs. They were both cooked to order and were presented to us steaming hot with 2 cups of gorgeous coffee. An absolutely top quality, tasty breakfast, the best I've had in a long time. Will definitely return in the near future
Enjoyed an outstanding full English breakfast in this lovely little jazz themed cafe. The place was unanimously recommended to us by locals in the nearby ale house the previous evening. Great staff, service and food.
Shocking experience today.
Asked for well done bacon. I've asked for well done bacon for years coming to this cafe and they don't seem to understand the concept of well done bacon.
Both egg yolks solid.
Boiled to death beans.
The toast was so dry it was more akin to a cracker!
Obnoxiously loud music.
When I pointed out the toast issue they made a huge fuss over it as I was told that they are going to place my opinion somewhere and gestured to something unprofessional whilst they were all laughing. Absolutely shocking behaviour.
How do you get your breakfasts so consistently rubbish. I didn't even get on to mention the bacon, eggs and boiled to death beans because I was made to feel like feedback wasn't welcome.
Will never return here. Belittling horrible staff. How dare you treat someone with such contempt in front of other people when being given honest true feedback.
Also glad I left when I did as I'm not too keen on the smell of wet dogs when I'm eating, pretty sure others would agree!
I previously gave this place 5 stars due to the quality of the food, however even 2 stars is generous.
By far thee best cafe in the whole of Tewkesbury! We’ve been loads of times and have never had a bad meal. Breakfast is the best!! But lunch of course is good too! Lots of varieties and always welcomed with a smile by the friendly staff. Love this cafe!!
Will be back again soon. Great choice of menu and in traditional tutor building. Jazz themed cafe. Fresh food. Need cash to pay.
4 of us went in today for sandwich lunch. I was on crutches and my mums mobility is limited. They went out of their way for us to have the downstairs seating. The sandwiches were delicious, plenty of filling and lovely fresh bread. The salad dressing on the side salad was beautiful.
The choice of food was very good, hot meals, cold food sweet or savoury, breakfast or lunch.
Had a wonderful Christmas Dinner here. Service is impeccable! Debbie and Ken are both so sweet, as if you've gone to visit family. Food was delicious too - lovely leek and potato soup (Leeks grown by Debbie!), dinner had lush gravy and pudding was very comforting.
We had a fantastic lunch. The food was cooked freshly. Amazing really friendly staff. A great experience. Thank you Jelly roll we will return.
