I really like the place
They do a very good food
Last time I was here it took them a couple minutes longer to prepare my food. They were sooo apologetic.
Guys, I would wait. It’s not a big deal. I understand sometimes you can’t give food instantly.
So yes
They defo deserve their 5 stars
Probably won’t go back, pick up takeaway tonight, while waiting, watched chef come through to counter, get hanky, blow his nose, and then head back to kitchen. Oh was wearing gloves but didn’t change then or wash hands ????????????
Very nice place, said to be the best in Leven. Huge portions and we got free prawn crackers.
I would say this is the best Chinese takeaway in Levenmouth. I have tried a few meals on the menu and would recommend Singapore chow main or sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style with fried rice. Banana fritter are really nice too. Order delivery a bit earlier if a weekend or near the end of the month.
Terrible service. Me and my family used The Jade for years, but we're officially quitting this takeaway.
Why? Because on three recent occasions now they have failed to deliver our full order. First time they failed to give us the bottle of fizzy juice, then the fried rice on two separate occasions.
The most recent occurrence really underlined how bad this has gotten. When calling I specifically went over the order twice, since we'd already been burned by unreliable order fulfilment. Order arrived and the first thing I asked my brother was "Is the whole order there". Nope!
Immediately called The Jade to report that a fried rice was missing, and not for the first time. The woman on the phone's attitude was "I packed it myself, so all the rice must be there". This is a poor response since a) it's not the last step of the delivery process and b) it shows The Jade aren't taking responsibility for the issue. I pointed out the obvious issue, that between them taking my order and delivering it, something was going very wrong.
The Jade agreed to come back with the fried rice, but for me the damage was done. Yet again I found myself sitting around waiting for rice while the sauce went cold. Either they've grown grossly incompetent, or something less innocent is at play. Either way, enough is enough and we'll never use The Jade again.
Unfortunately my experience was a first and last one. My chicken chow mein was like jelly and the hoisin sauce for the duck pancakes was like gravy. These are two things I order all the time so I know what to expect and this wasn't what I received. The order took 1hr 30mins to arrive so when I was offered another chow mein and sauce I had to decline as it would have been past bedtime by the time it arrived.
Best Chinese Takeaway in Leven. They take pride in their food, I've never been ill or had an unpleasant meal from this place.
Got a munchie box and got about 10 bits of meat rest was just chips that was including 2 ribs and about 6 bits of popcorn chicken 2 chicken balls that was it quite disappointing after last one I got had plenty bits of meat
