Lovely beach! Quiet, calm and sheltered. Not too busy. The car park has plenty of space.
The lifeboat station, when it's open, is definitely worth a visit.
Love this place as a free launch for my boat.
Parking is poor, the beach is hard to access and it is practically all steep shingle. It is also next to sewage outlet pipe so I imagine the water is not very clean. It is located in a industrial area so not pretty either. The only positive is reasonable parking charges.
I just love all beaches along the Brighton/Hove coast line, leading up to Port Slade/Shoreham. They are all great for water sports and swimming, or just walking. Good proms, nice little Snack Shacks, it cannot get much better.
Absolutely beautiful place free parking and benches along the way they are positioned so u can see the coastline if u have children , u can fish there too and alot of people also swim all rounder good place if u dnt want crowds and shops n just want the beach parking very close to beach as well
We didn't go to the Pavilion because it was closed. However the area and the beach were lovely in spite of the cold weather. The boardwalk was really useful to take some of the effort out of walking on the beach.
Beautiful beach not too busy lovely long walk down the promenade either way toward the harbour or Brighton.
Cute little beach. Good for SUP and kayak entry. Can get very busy so arrive early.
