Came a little earlier around 11:15am and waited approx 5 minutes and didn't even get my order taken. 3 staff on too. Another customer came in and got served before me too. This was whilst I was checking all other customers had been served. Staff then disappeared into the back kitchen again so I left. Shame really as I have enjoyed the food from here previously
First time visiting here, the service was very friendly and professional, it looked nice and clean and the menu was very varied.
Was disappointed with the value for money - I ordered a ham salad sandwich and got a salad sandwich with a single thin slice of (what appeared to be) processed ham. The salad ingredients seemed fresh and well prepared but I couldn't taste the ham - I had to have a look to check it was actually there.
I would have accepted this for a cheap sandwich but (with a cup of tea) I paid over £5 for my order. I'm used to paying £4 for the same order (with a generous amount of ham) at my regular shop just down the road.
The owners have made a good effort making the shop nice and the customer service is great - I wouldn't mind paying a little extra as long as I'm getting value for my money.
Maybe I had a bad experience on the day (this happens with all businesses sometimes); I will give them another try to be as fair as possible to them.
Waited 2 hours on a big breakfast … abso waste of money … toastier we’re soaking wet with condensation, was told be a while to be replaced , 3 hours later and still not had my breakfast… abso shambles … refund will be happening
I called in here for the first time and I will definitely return. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. 5 star rating all the way
Gutted, paid £4.75 for a chicken, bacon and cheese panini and there was no cheese. Instead there was mayo.
Didn’t ask for mayo and couldn’t eat it as it has egg in.
Waste of money
Edit: response to the owner: what I ordered was not on the board or paper menu. So what I asked for, was verbatim.
Most establishments would ask if condiments are wanted or add it on the menu. So perhaps you should ask, and not assume. Still £4.75 out of pocket for your lack of consideration.
Well I decided to give them a try and what a let down . Ordered a sausage butty and when I look they had put 2 tiny sausage on cut in half to try and make it look better.
What a joke. Never ever ever again will I waste my money in this shop. Back to Yates or penny house lane ...
Fantastic food today from The Hungry Hedgehog ????, Sausage sandwiches, super fresh rolls and lovely butchers sausages, pork and black pudding pies were amazing, lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere, super clean and great decor, staff were very friendly, chatty and smiling, we will be back 10/10, give it a try you won't be disappointed
Ordered a delivery for the first time today,it arrived at work on time.Food was delicious,will definitely be ordering again soon .????⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐????????
