Lovely, bloody lovely. Really welcoming pub. Land lord and lady, couldn't ask for a better one... fair price and a good quiz on a Thursday. Thumbs up ????????

My old mate Phil from Bass House in Ponty runs The Houghton now I was very pleased to find out recently. Couldn't be in safer hands, great atmosphere, nice locals and a genuinely pleasant local pub, great beer too, loads of sports, great prices. You won't be disappointed so go check it out.

Busy, friendly and cosy local on main road. Usually two, well kept, hand pulled real ales served. Separate traditional bar with pool table, darts etc. Full sports package on TVs and very popular with racing fans, with Cheltenham festival very popular. Quiz night and other events popular.
Fantastic local pub with great staff and landlord. Crisp fresh beer very well kept. Clean and tidy all the time.
Great pub, good selection of drinks. Couldnt wish for a better Landlord and landlady and staff are very friendly and polite. Best pub in Glasshoughton.
