Music was not for the girls. all they played was trap music but nothing for the girls to actually dance and have fun to. lights were too bright and the whole night was just people standing around on their phones.

The lightskin security that works the front with the curly hair is very prejudice towards dark skinned black women. We were the first ones there at 10:30PM. There was literally no one in line yet he made us walk all the around to get searched although we had paid for a reservation.

Later, around 1:30Am, I went to look for one of our friends outside and tried to re-enter after about 2 minutes. The same light skinned security guard literally pushed me down the stairs and told me to get at the back of the line to get back in even though I had a wrist band on. I repeatedly told him I had already been inside and had a section. Both he and the cops outside literally said they didn’t care. A few minutes later, my fair skinned Hispanic friend came out and they let her back in with no problem. Most of the negative reviews here seem to be regarding the customer service towards black women. So, I would keep that in mind before spending $900+ here. You’ll only be treated as VIP if you look a certain way and those cops are not there to protect you.

Worst experience!!! Awful, booked a section for my girlfriend 23rd birthday, we got there at about 12:50AM we understood the section had a $600 min I told the bottle girl to go ahead and bring both bottles at once. She decided to bring 1 at a time but make us pay for two bottles. She bought the second one out around 1:40AM-1:45AM and left without ever returning to let the second bottle out the cage. Upon 2AM closing time, I asked security what happen to the bottle girl he said he doesn’t handle that, I ask well can we get some who does. A man name shea came and opened the cage and said yes the bottle is full still, he proceeded to walk us to a Asian lady I think named Bunny they both said we will issue a refund for the amount of the second bottle. We paid $769.50 leaving $384.75 was supposed to be refunded back to us. I was told it would be refunded to my card and I will receive a text from the manager. I never received any communication from this establishment. I will definitely be taking further action against this establishment as this is highly unprofessional. It’s been 2 weeks. I would never recommend HIVE NIGHTCLUB as long as they continue to be under same management.

Definitely won’t be back. I’m new to the CLT area and thought this place would be cool to try. It was supposed to be a $600 min for the booth.. cool no problem.. the day of that change and was trying to charge an additional $300+ for something we were told it would be $600. We get there and are told that it would be an additional $40 to wear jerseys which is crazy af.. and had me CASHAPP the fee which is suspicious af (being investigated) and the same “light skinned” security guard everybody is complaining about is def a problem. We were leaving the club and kept getting targeted and told “get out yall gotta go” repeatedly meanwhile we were leaving the club just like everyone else. We had not bothered anybody the entire night or caused any issues. Be real cautious when come to this “nightclub” because you’ll get robbed and mistreated just like others been saying in these reviews.

The Hive was a fine time. Music, lights, accessible drinks…however….

The lights are entirely too bright. It looks like they put a lot of money into the decor and lighting system but none of it was really matching the music. Mostly felt randomly timed. The bar and restrooms were pretty accessible; although the bartender never pointed out that 20% tip was already included; so I was tipping on top of an already expensive tab.

I also really am not fond of the VIP tables being between the DJ and dance floor. I think it causes an unnecessary eye contact with the VIP table guests and non VIP patrons. The bouncer was pretty cool with us despite the mixed reports I’ve heard.

“I’m from out of town and I partied Friday and Saturday at Hive because it was just that lit the first night so I had to come back! The Dj was dope so the music was constantly jumping. Host were very helpful with VIP sitting & security did a great job maintaining crowd control and stopping a potential fight. It was my first St.Patty’s Day weekend in CLT and I would recommend Hive to all my friends”

I had a VIP Experience at The Hive on Friday, March 8th, 2024 and while the experience was great, your bouncers harassed and assaulted my boyfriend. When my boyfriend arrived to the Hive they told him needed to pay $40 to get in because the Hive has a dress code and he had “worker boots” on; however, that was not the case. He had on black timberlands which is not a work boot. Also, it does not say on your website that you have a dress code nor does it state in the confirmation email I received after booking the VIP table, which I attached in this email as well. I also attached the CashApp receipt of the person that I had to send the $40 to.

The club began closing and myself and my friends were making our way out, they stopped and went to the bathroom before leaving and my friend, myself and my boyfriend waited for them in the tunnel part of the club. The light skin bouncer with the shoulder length curly hair came up to us letting us know we had to leave and we told him that we were waiting for our friends. He said it again and my boyfriend let him know again that we were waiting for our friends. My boyfriend asked that bouncer about charging him $40 for his shoes and that bouncer proceeded to put his hands on my boyfriend shoving him. They state in your confirmation that the safety of your customers is important and we did not feel safe at all.

Best dj I’ve heard in a long time, bartenders are quick and drinks are strong, definitely will be back
