We love going to the Legion / Hideout for drinks and delicious food. Reasonable price for lots of food and great servers, great atmosphere. Couldn't get any better then this ????
I also love that you can tip there cooks. It's something everyplace should do. Great job guys keep it up!
I'm a little disappointed after our meal at the Hideout. We had heard great things, but our experience was a bit unpleasant. The bar was packed, which could be due to the time we arrived (1:30 on a week day), so we left and returned an hour or so later to find the bar still packed full. We opted for a table, which wasn't ideal because they only had the bartender taking drink and meal orders. The food was extremely bland and basic, with the exception of the chipotle grilled cheese, which was okay. I'd would like to give this place another shot to see if maybe we just chose an off day.
I stopped at this restaurant to eat lunch on a Sunday afternoon. I waited twenty minutes before a server took my order. The restaurant was very busy, but only two waitresses were working. I ordered a steak salad which arrived quickly after I placed my order. The steak was tender and cooked medium rare which is the way I ordered it. While I ate my meal, I was continually buzzed by large flies which was very annoying. The atmosphere was typical of a bar. Loud and noisy. The food was good and reasonably priced, but additional servers need to be hired. The waitresses should also wear something other than gym shorts and t-shirts. There are better places to eat in Morris. The menu is basically good bar food.
This is a bar and restaurant at the American Legion. As you walk in is the bar area, then some tables with pool tables and HD sports TVs, and further in is the main seating area. Ordered a pot roast sandwich with sweet potatoes fries. Waitress was wonderful, helpful, and attentive. Place was clean and well lit. The sandwich was amazing and filling. I did not expect this quality of service and amazingly delicious food here. Great place to eat and watch sports.
Loved my first visit to The Hideout. The food was great, and I enjoyed the Bloody Mary!!
Walked in, went to tables in the dining room, was told by the waitress/bartender to sit at a table by the bar. We sat next to the pool table, listening to the pool balls hit each other all meal long. Had we wanted to sit in the bar area, we would have. While taking our order, waitress was interrupted by a rude customer asking where his party could sit. She directed them to the dining room. Service was fair at best. To be expected when the bartender is also the waitress. Food was very good.
This is the chef from Greenhorn, everything we've had was very good, homemade coleslaw is great. Fish is great and I have heard great thing about the hamburger.
My wife and I stopped by The Hideout for lunch, yesterday. She had a hamburger, and I had a bbq brisket wrap. They were both delicious. The service was excellent. We'll be back.
